Checkers gift voucher impossible to redeem

I purchased a gift voucher for my sister in law. a Checkers voucher is purchased through Computicket, no Checkers. my sister in law went Checkers in Margate 4 times in order to redeem the voucher. each time there was a different issue. it seems that in order to redeem a Checkers voucher you need to open a Money Market account. This cannot be done in store because the lighting is not good enough to take selfie and the wifi is not good enough for the process to be completed. We have tried to open a Money Market account at home - after taking photos and puting in all address information, the app circles and circles and eventually times. out. I have been to checkers 3 times myself to try to resolve this. Why can the voucher process not be simplified. I have asked Computicket for a refund. They said that this is no longer in their hands. I copied Checkers customer care into this request and received no reply at all. I have a R1000 voucher than cannot be redeemed. Please give me my money back Checkers!
