We are extremely dissatisfied with the manner in which this company operates. We had a terrible tenant whom we had no control over, among other things he installed a citiq meter on our property that had been registered to his parents' house, consequently he had been receiving the reimbur*****ts. With a lot of effort we managed to get the tenant out almost 2 years ago, and I am now living on the smallholding myself. This previous tenant has still been receiving the reimbur*****ts and is refusing to pay it back to us. We have been trying for months to get this corrected but emails have been ignored by Citiq, they have answered some Whatsapp messages but have been very unhelpful and every time they have more hoops for us to jump through. What is upsetting is that anyone who has a citiq meter number can register to receive the reimbur*****t, but to change this to the rightful owner of the property is almost impossible. We have no choice but to remove this meter and use another company, since we've been losing thousands of rands and really want this ex tenant out of our lives now.

So I leased a property through Citiq Properties. I was on holiday during December 2018 when I received an email from Citiq informing me that I had to evacuate the premises by end of January 2019 as the property was sold. On the 28th of December 2018,I sent an email to Citiq requesting for an extention as I was not around and wouldn't be able to get a place by the end of January 2019. I also requested the turn around time for my deposit repayment as I would need my deposit to pay for the new place soonest. I then got a responds from Ben on the 7th notifying me that deposit repayment is made 14-21 working days after moving out. I told them this wouldn't work for me as they had given me short notice to move out and wouldn't have money to pay for a new place without the deposit. With that said they couldn't reason with me. I had not paid my rental for January and my partner who I was staying with called Citiq and spoke to Justin. He explained to Justin that we could not pay the rental for January as we needed this to pay for the new place. He then asked Justin if we could use our deposit as rental for the month and top it up as the rental had gone up. He agreed and we paid R1500 to complete January's rental and this covered the extra costs for water, electricity and sewage. We moved out at the end of January 2019 but to my surprised I was charged for February 2019s rental and handed over to the lawyers. What is this? Citiq told me the property was sold by the owner and I had to move out by end of January which I did so how am I then being charged for February? And as if that's not enough I'm being take to lawyers for final demands. Does Citiq want to defraud me or what? Claiming money from me when I was not in the property and claiming money for a property that was sold by their client and not in their care anymore? What sort of games are these? This is fraud and defamation of character and Citiq needs to sort this nonsense out. I will not have Credit Intel harrasing me for fails accusations. I have spoken to Credit Intel but as usual they are looking for where to crook money from as instructed by their client Citiq and refuse to do anything about the matter. I have sent Credit Intel all the correspondence but I see everyone is acting blind. I can never get a hold of Citiq Properties either. This nonsense needs to stop as I'm not up for all these crook fraud hide and seek games.
