Refund Application Ignored
Re; Refund Kearabetsoe Phakoe Student Number 201816718 Complainant: Lisemelo Mary Phakoe ( parent) On 30th,01,2023,I paid a registration fee of R2200.00, because I was advised that my son can still do Advanced Sound Engineering with Cityvarsity School of Media and Creative Arts. On 07.02 2023 I paid R61400 as tuition fee. Later in February 2023.I was told that the College can no longer offer the mentioned Course as he is the only student registered for this course. As the matter of facts I was requested to send a certified ID photocopy and a bank statement. I was also informed that they( school) will refund the tuition fee after 12weeks and that is their policy. I waited patiently,seeing that now the school does not adhere to their policy, on the 3rd of August 2023 I went physically to the school premises. I met with the Account Supervisor Me Christleigh Dunn, she immediately sent the email to Refund Supervisor Me.Cleavon Fynn. Before my departure I asked Account Statement print- out,and I was served with it. Toward the end of August I inquire about this issue from the Account Supervisor and she referred me to Refund Supervisor I send emails to the latter with no avail. Sometimes I would sent emails twice or thrice a week because I was desperate to get my money as I have some other matters take of. Throughout my struggle I ended asking help from the Genral Manager of this institution. I explain everything to him through whatsapp, he tried to help but ended nowhere. On the 07th of November,I received an email from Cleavon Fynn saying she apologized for the inconvenience but now she just send documents to the Finance department. Now it's December and they are quiet.
