Disappointing Service from Cohen
Extremely dissatisfied with the service we received from our agent (Dulcie) at Cohen Property Developers. We app**** for a rental property - We filled out the application and submitted it along with all our documents. After quite a wait, we were contacted to say another individual paid a deposit and the property was no longer available. We did not even get an opportunity to view. She did not even confirm if we were approved and then offered us another property that also already has an active application on. The communication was not great. Very disappointing.

Disappointing Service from Cohen
Extremely dissatisfied with the service we received from our agent (Dulcie) at Cohen Property Developers. We app**** for a rental property - We filled out the application and submitted it along with all our documents. After quite a wait, we were contacted to say another individual paid a deposit and the property was no longer available. We did not even get an opportunity to view. Rental Unit
I found a rental property on Private Property and contacted the agent from Cohen. She was very friendly but in our discussion I mentioned that we have a pet, and she did not have much to say about it. We got to the viewing early, and the agent was 15 minutes late. There was another lady looking at the property, and she complained about the service she previously had from this agent. When the agent eventually arrived, she took us to the unit, and when I spoke about our pet, she said the unit was not pet friendly. This was very disappointing to say the least. The ad did not say the property is not pet friendly, and when I mentioned it to the agent, she also didn’t tell me until we were actually there. I am very disappointed in the service overall - I cannot complain about her as a person as she was very friendly, but the situation wasn’t handled very professionally.

So, I'm writing this to help anyone considering renting/buying from them. DON'T BOTHER!!!!

Hie guys I have a bad experience with this company worked there in January ever since then Arno the manager there is refusing to pay me for my services I could advice any one looking for work not to risk working for them They take advantage of undocumented foreigners for cheap labour Enough is enough with this

These guys dont want to pay workers
These guys they always have stories when it comes to contractors l would advice contractors out there not to risk or waste their time working for them l worked for them in January till now its only stories

I purchased my house from you being a first time owner in 2022. New house that is full of cracks and falling furnishings. I have sent a couple of emails since 2022 and being told it’s how they operate. Cheap materials being used. My whole roof is leaking, my sliding doors also have air coming in. This is ****s as their target market is young black people who are first time home buyers. Every where I have collegues and friends who bought from them have complaints. My front door had a key lock problem since I had moved in and know one had noted that. I have a list of snags that I had reported and they are still the same.

Structural damage to property
If I could give no stars I definitely would! My husband and I purchased a home in Fairview in October 2020 from Cohen property Developers & they promised us the world. This house is supposed to be under a 5 year structural warranty as per our signed contract when purchasing the home. The house is falling apart. I have never seen or experienced anything like this where the tiles are separating from the walls in the shower due to foundation movement. This is a very serious problem & require an urgent response from them as they simply have ignored us regarding the cracks, mold, rotting of walls and now this major issue!!!!!! Their response is simply, that our 90 days has expired & this is maintenance/minor issues that we should attend to ourselves but then again, what about the "5 years"??. If I could attach pictures I would for interested/potential buyers to rather purchase somewhere else. Don't be fooled my the modern looks etc. as cheap materials are used & their service experience is only great until you have signed and paid them for the property. Other than that you are simply nothing!! I do believe that as a community we should stand up against these people & sign a petition where we file a serious lawsuit against Cohen Property Developers & hold them accountable for their ignorance & lack of empathy towards property buyers. I will upload pictures on social media so that people can see the seriousness thereof and potential buyers are more than welcome to contact me if they would like to view the quality of these homes.
