Frustrated

I app**** for a loan in 2019 and they said whether i get the loan or not i will be placed under debt review...i havent paid them a single sent since then but they are demanding R9000 from me for services or whatever i never recieved...since then i could not get any other loan or by furniture or anything as i did not know what debt review is...i told them i want to cancel any service or debt review on my name...they refused now im stuck...how can i go about clearing my name or cancelling the debt review...i am truly frustrated
