It stuns me how individuals open recruitment agencies when they're not fully equipped to deal with the diverse people they are bound to interact and come across in their job.<br> Today, I tried to apply for a job, and because I'm based in a different city, I was told by the recruitment agent that there's plenty of people who have got the skill that is required in Jhb and there's absolutely no need for a candidate in a different city to apply/be considered, as there's interviews, relocation etc that would come into play. The manner and tone in which this was communicated, was appalling, as even after I'd explained that all those issues I'm aware of and are not an issue to me, she still made it out as if it was not an option. This country still has a very long way to go. I hope the staff at Corporate Match actually remove the blinkers they seem to have on and realise they services force them to interact with different people from different walks of life, that ought to be treated fairly and with respect.
