Questionable Contractors

Rating them a 1 star is too much. I saved up to have a bathroom renovated. I wanted to have my bathtub removed, a shower put in and tiling and painting done. Bear in mind this company was referred to me by Dial-A-Contractor who are supposed to "vet" them. They ruined my bathroom and i wasted R30,000.00 of my money. The tiling is skew on all of the walls and floors, they painted badly, the shower head did not work, the water from the shower runs into the passage, the siliconing of the basin to the wall looks like it is inches thick and is too far from the wall. The original toilet that i had was broken by them. Items in the house went missing, they asked for more money to pay salaries (which i said no to). The "project Manager" shouted at me for "Micro managing" but look what happened. The supervisor was hardly ever on site. The job that was supposed to take 5 days at most took 10 days and was a nightmare. They are not proper builders and would really not recommend that anyone works through them. i do not want them back on site so am having someone else repair their stuff up. By the way they attached my toilet Cistern with one nut and the toilet itself was not securely put in. I had to buy another complete toilet and have a plumber (A qualified one!) put it in. The shower head pipe had a load of cement inside and copper filings. Qualified??? I think not.
