Having been to Culinary Table restaurant for a meal previously where we found the food enjoyable, service great and the pricing acceptable. We thought it a good idea to go there for Father's Day lunch on Sunday, 18 June 2017. We had a 2:00 pm seating. Our waiter took forever to take our drinks order but we put that down to the restaurant being very busy. The restaurants regular menu was not available and was substituted by a very limited father’s day menu, which we found disappointing as the prices were ridiculously expensive and the menu was short on options. Also disappointing was no menu options for a member of our group who is a pescatarian. We were hoping that thequality of the food ( considering the prices ) would make up for all the restaurants short comings on the day. Unfortunately not, the meal was a disaster!! After waiting for more than an hour for our food to be served, the meal that was shared which was supposed to cater for four adults was dreadful – well done steak and inedible burnt sosaties. The boereworse was the only tasty portion. The menu boasts chef Daniela Gutstatd has trained at the International Culinary Centre in NYC, and if so it did not show in her cooking or presentation. A very disappointing experience and a most disappointing meal. Having raved about Culinary to many people I now take that back.

After complaining to management, they apologised and cooked us additional steak and chicken breasts. However our afternoon had already been spoilt and I cannot see myself returning or recommending the Culinary Table restaurant.
