We ordered a washing machine from Davenports Appliances CC (Craighall Park). The interaction we had with them was very professional and friendly. The washing machine was delivered to East London in record time. All our questions were dealt with immediately. I was impressed with the service Carl Burger

These people arrived at my home without me making an appointment - I had only requested information on the nature of their services for a washing machine issue. They then ‘fixed’ my washing machine, replacing all sorts of parts, which had nothing to do with the initial issue to begin with!, without checking with me first) They then bill me. I then emailed and called several times to say that the machine was in an even worse case of disrepair than it was to begin with, including not draining, making a horrific noise, changing wash times sporadically during cycles etc etc. Nothing happened. They started chasing me for payment - I said I am not willing to pay until my machine is fixed. They send someone out to ‘fix’ it again and miraculously pull out a Hair clip which nobody in my family as ever SEEN, much less USED before - and they claim that to be the reason for the issues. Suffice it to say, that was not the case and my machine is STILL not working.... and best of all is that they are now wanting to HAND ME OVER FOR NON-PAYMENT!!!! I would not recommend these people, most specifically, Russell Davenport and will most certainly never be making use of their disgusting, pathetic “services “ again!! It is absolutely shameful that people behave this way and still demand to be paid for it!

<p>I called Davenports to ask for spare parts for my heater. The lady I spoke to at reception told me that the parts are available. I made the effort to drive all the way there, only to be told that the parts are still being shipped over the next day and that she would call me if I left my number. The next day came, no answer. I decided to wait patiently. After a whole week of receiving no call, I decided to follow up. She told that the parts were in the store and I can come and collect them. Upon arriving for the second time, I am told by a different servicemen that the parts are not available and that they are very hard to find. He is sorry, but Davenports cannot help me. He wanted to know who had helped me, I pointed out the lady. She offered no apology, not an ounce of remorse whatsoever. She just simply shrugged and said, "my bad." I was so shocked that not only had Davenports wasted all my time, but the way they did not even care that they had wasted my time. This is by far the most unsatisfactory customer experience I have ever had. I am complaining on Hello Peter because I don't believe that complaining to Davenports will make any difference. Simpy because they are indifferent. I am never going there again, come hell or high water!</p>
