On booking with Hollandsche Molen Holiday Resort to stay in their campsite for a 5 day period starting early Dec 2020 we were sent a lengthy terms & conditions letter which was a comprehensive list of rules, what was not allowed with specifics regarding behavior, noise etc which we happily signed as this was an indication that there would be a mutual understanding and respect between campers and if not the management would resolve any issues before it became a real problem or so we thought. After a blissful two days in an awesome setting we got some neighbors who started to party from around 3pm this carried on until 3:30am the next morning as the evening progressed the drunken debauchery, noise, music levels increased to an intolerable level for ourselves and surrounding campers the security officer employed at the front gate did try and quieten the offending campers down but as soon as they left it all started up again. Having camped for 30 odd years i understand this happens but what really irks is that when my wife complained to management the following day as we could not face another night of drunken debauchery was told that the camp site is not a retirement village and that our neighbors are regulars and that we need to cut them some slack. Well in short all the surrounding campers were all are far from retirement age and how much slack is required when faced with absolute mayhem going on next door until 3:30 am ? so just a heads up when deciding where to stay at Hollandsche Molen Holiday Resort the comprehensive list of rules and regs you sign on checking in do not seem to apply to their regulars.
