Fantastic service on replacement of faulty old lock
Thank you for the incredible service following email request yesterday afternoon to replace a lock fitted back in 2018 which had become faulty. Job completed already and the guys even brought in a vaccum to make sure site 100% clean. Thank you team and Chrystelle who handled the admin!

Defendoor CC appalling customer service
This company simply does not know the concept of customer service. Took a R20k deposit and for almost a month, there was no update regarding when installation of the security gates would commence. I had to institute legal action just to get a response for when installation will begin. The sales consultant provided no feedback in regard to the status of my order. The company’s customer service and attitude is simply appalling.

This company simply does not know the concept of customer service. Took a R20k deposit and for almost a month, there was no update regarding when installation of the security gates would commence. I had to institute legal action just to get a response for when installation will begin. The sales consultant provided no feedback in regard to the status of my order. The company’s customer service and attitude is simply appalling.

Loose fitting door and poor customer service
I have never seen such unprofessionalism from a service provider!!! Poor workmanship at its best. The installed security gate is not steady and wobbles when nudged. When I called to report the agent Jacques came by and agreed that the door isn't up to standard and that he will take it up with his manager. Thereafter, my calls were ignored, I received no feedback. When I finally managed to get hold of Jacques he told me the manager says that's how the door is supposed to be. Mind you, the manager has not even seen the door. After threatening to expose them the so called manager calls and claims he didn't know there was an issue, he'll call me after talking to Jacques. Again, I was the one who had to struggle to get feedback, but got no assistance whatsoever because the manager once again concluded that the door is ok without having inspected the door!!! I had hoped as a company that operates in the security industry my safety would be prioritized but clearly I'm dealing with scammers!!!!

Great service from Jacques and team
Hi I've had two installations done by Defendoor (order 8626 and 8674 in JHB) and both times I had wonderful service from Jacques Van Der Schyff and the installation team. Jacques really took his time explaining all of the details of their product, and ensured his team returned when a piece of the one frame began rusting. This was replaced and we've had no issues since. We had a small issue with one of the locks on one of the sliding gates (it was not configured as per the initial requirement), this too was promptly corrected. The installation teams were careful (we have wooden floors, they laid down thick blankets to prevent damage), very professional, and worked quickly. Our gates (five in total) have now been in operation for nearly a year and they all still work like the day we bought them (a little WD40 here and there). They were the only company to bring samples for a demo (I got quotes from the other big security door companies), and the product speaks for itself. I highly recommend Defendoor for their service alone - but I do also believe their sliding gates to be of superior quality.

No interest in business
I called the office number..then was referred to a Rep, who advised me that someone else would call me back..after reminders, no feedback..extremely bad service, taking into consideration the presumably bad economy we are encountering. This company doesn't seem to be interested in business or even the courtesy to respond. NB..this requirement included 8 industrial roller shutter Doors...maybe too small for this company??

No interest in business

This company doesn't seem to be interested in business or even the courtesy to respond. NB..this requirement included 8 industrial roller shutter Doors...maybe too small for this company??

20 May 2020 I paid deposit for an Trellidoor, Galvanized, Powder coated, Packaging and Delivery and Installation form above company in Gansbaai. It was installed by 2 very efficient men. We where happy. In November we received an call form the Company verbalizing the gate was from a bad batch they will replace the gate in January free of charge due to rusting etc. Needless to say it is June and nothing has been done. Every time we follow up we are told they busy Reviewing different gates and promised with replacement dates. If we do not follow up we hear absolutely nothing from the Company. I have many E mails as proof. And there empty promises as well. At present we sitting with a rusted 1 Year old Trellidoor "galvanized gate" and no news from company.

Full marks to Jacques vd Schyff of Defendoor in Roodepoort for quick and professional sales service - and lots of "extra mile" assistance during our home building exercise. The end result is great - our gates and bars give protection and they look good too.
