On 05/06/2018 I entered Delta bottle store to purchase some wine. I selected a Guardian’s Peak Cabernet Sauvignon which was priced at R90.00. When I went to the cashier to pay the wine she told me the price of the wine was R260.00 I informed her that the wine is advertised and priced at R90.00 she called the manager and they both confirmed that the wine was priced at R90.00. They then proceeded to talk to George Koupis who I presumed was the owner. He was very rude and insisted that I pay R260.00. I told him that this violates the Consumer protection act 23(6)(a) which states: “a supplier must not require a consumer to pay a price for any foods or services higher than the displayed price for those goods or services”. He still refused and said was abrasive and arrogant.
