Dear Yellow Peter, I am writing this complaint directly to you to bring to your attention a serious incident that occurred at your store on 15 June 2025 at approximately 12:42 pm. After purchasing a Zamburg at the till, I was stopped at the entrance by a security guard who accused me of being “stubborn” and physically assaulted me by slapping me across the face. Shortly afterwards, another security guard came running and tried to attack me as well. I was forced to flee the store and was pursued all the way to Carton Centre. This incident was humiliating, physically harmful, and a violation of my rights as a customer. It is unacceptable for store security to treat any person this way.

I had a horrific experience at Discount Foods (103 Kerk Street) today. Upon entering the store, I was asked to leave my personal belongings at the parcel counter. However, I had important items in my bag, including my phone, MiFi, and nightdress, which I couldn't leave behind. When I explained this to the staff, they became rude and refused to let me enter the store. I asked to speak to the manager, who was introduced to me as Sizwe. Unfortunately, he was extremely unprofessional, using derogatory language and insults. He shockingly told me "**** you, *****" when I tried to explain my concerns. I left the store, feeling disrespected and traumatized by the encounter. I went to another Discount Foods location to purchase the items I needed. When I returned to the original store without my personal belongings, I asked to speak to the manager again. However, she was also rude and unhelpful, claiming that she was present during the earlier incident and refusing to provide any assistance. When I expressed my concerns about leaving my personal belongings at the parcel counter and asked about the store's policy on lost items, the manager became defensive and accused me of being difficult. I left the store without resolving the issue and do not plan to return due to the appalling customer service I received. I hope that the management will take immediate action to address Sizwe's unacceptable behavior and provide better training to their staff.

Triple Dz Fast Foods situated by westham near unit 10 clinic. Poor service as we ordered one mutton breyani with Soji and coke for delivery at 4pm and they nevwer pitched up and when we phoned them they didnt apologise nothing they cut the call on us. They say They still waiting for a driver. All workers at triple Dz fast foods are a bunch of ****s

I had a disappointing experience at the discount store in Carlton Centre on Fox Street, Marshalltown. The cashier, Anele Nyembe, displayed a rude attitude, shouting and causing a scene during my purchase. Despite escalating the issue to the manager, the resolution was unsatisfactory; the manager's response was a simple "askies." Unfortunately, it seems there's a lack of respect within the staff, as the cashier continued to be disrespectful even during the manager's intervention. I received no apology for the cashier's rude behavior.

I went to jeppe to buy something. I entered carrying 2 plastics. I left them buy parcel counter. After few minutes l came back l found out that they gave someone my plastic. There was a bag, with power bank a perfume my shoes and a hat inside. I lost my things just like that. And those Portuguese were very rude. They said its not their fault mistakes happens not even to say sorry. They were rude.

Recently i went to buy some grocery in discount foods next to mtn taxi rank in Johannesburg c.b.d i bought 500g advance meat garlic polony.When i got home only to find it was rotten.I bought another one again in the same store and it's rotten again.The till slip it doesn't have the store contact details.This is highly unacceptable,it means to prove yourself you need to go back to the store with the receipt and the product.I imagine how many customers are experiencing this problem.I tried to phone the manufacturer only to find the number doesn't exist.

Discount foods store at MTN TAXI RANK JOHANNESBURG IN TOWN has a very disgraceful service. Very impolite and unprofessional cashiers as well the owners/ managers. I stop there often in the week before catching my taxi to Home if I miss smtg at home to eat or cook that evening. The cashiers attitudes are always poor, like they don't wanna serve the clients. Some weeks ago I had a fight with a cashier there by telling her the "Customer is a king" and the customer is always most of the time right , so you need to know what say and how to serve the client. She starts talking in Zulu I don't know. This specific store must be review, boycotted by customers until they change their customers service regulation. Discount foods store at MTN TAXI RANK JOHANNESBURG IN TOWN has a very disgraceful service. Very impolite and unprofessional cashiers as well the owners/ managers. I stop there often in the week before catching my taxi to Home if I miss smtg at home to eat or cook that evening. The cashiers attitudes are always poor, like they don't wanna serve the clients. Some weeks ago I had a fight with a cashier there by telling her the "Customer is a king" and the customer is always most of the time right , so you need to know what say and how to serve the client.
