I have looked through your transactions and balances and I understand how confusing and frustrating this can be, especially when you’ve just transferred funds and expect them to be available right away. Let me explain what may have happened.
When you transferred money from your Vitality Savings Account to your transaction account, the R400 does reflect in your balance. However, your available balance (the amount you can actually use) may be affected by pending transactions.
Pending transactions are payments or card swipes that have been authorised but not yet fully processed by the merchant. These amounts are temporarily held and reduce your available balance, even if they haven’t fully gone off your account yet.
So, what likely happened is:
You transferred R400 into your transaction account.
At the same time, you had pending transactions already on your account.
These pending amounts reduced what was available to withdraw, even if your total balance looked sufficient.
As a result, the withdrawal was declined due to insufficient available funds.
To avoid this in future, it helps to check your available balance (not just your total balance) before making a withdrawal, as this reflects what you can actually spend.
Let me know if there is anything else I can assist you with. I am happy to provide clarity on anything.
Kind regards,
Marusha
Best regards,
