On 2024-05-13 I was in a collission and the first help that arrived was Mr. Nico Breedt. I was in flat spin and did not know what to do. He helped me step by step what to do on the scene and took me home. He is a real ambassador For your company.

Dot Towing is a real bunch of ******* and manipulators, in your most vulnerable moment they take advantage of you. I was involved in an accident, not my fault. my vehicle was still able to drive, and they insisted on helping me with third party claims and getting my car fixed. yes, they all tell you if it sounds too good to be true it is, but in that moment when the accident happens you don't think clear. Rico and Gary from Dot Towing were very nice and promised to help with everything, gave me the number for the panel beaters they were taking my car too. the next morning after the accident I phoned the lady at the panel beaters, she informed me that they don't deal with third party claims and even told Gary from dot towing so as well. well, this whole ordeal cost me just under R6000.00 to get my car from the panel beaters, just because of Dot towing. Never trust Dot towing and never let them help you. stay far away for dot towing.

I had an accident on the 30th of Aug 2023, and due to prior experience I refused towing to just tow my car away and I was approached by a gentleman who had only not assisted me with the insurance but also looked after me during the entire process. Waiting for the processes to be completed, and done the paperwork: Slightly messy - with missing info but it is clear not everyone is Admin-driven. Although we made it VERY clear that the car is not allowed to Renew-it Bedfordview but rather to another place. A storage unit was selected and the car was "supposed" to be taken there. The following few days were confusing as I received calls from Renew-it saying the car was a write-off and we were all bracing for the worst. After I decided to contact the Broker directly and just get some clarity the broker did not know where the car was, the panel beater at that point did not have more information and eventually after a few days and with help from Tracker we traced the car. I was not in the mood to deal with the towing company and we decided to just get it resolved. The car was fixed (a wow job) and once the car came back we found that the Phone holder and the VGA connections to the screen were removed. I called the panel beater and we compared photos that led back to the towing company. I called the towing company and got directed by Charmaine who handled the case and the director of the Company Tyrone Brighton made contact with me. Investigated the matter and without hesitation refunded me the missing equipment (important to always keep invoices). I was very surprised as I did not even have to raise my voice. The company director sent me a message and I would like to Quote him: "Thank you so much. I do apologise again for this. We do not condone this type of behaviour from any of the staff. I will sort payment now for you." And they sure did! Thanks guys! Thank God we have some honest people still in the industry - Your prompt response and turnaround time in handling the situation were surprising and to the point. Some of your competitors can surely take a feather out of your cap. Josh from Dot Towing was amazing yesterday. My client had an accident and he was kind, courteous and understanding. Well done Discovery Insure for using reputable companies who hire drivers with empathy. Josh took my client home and made sure he was fine and could empty the vehicle before towing it away

I am 72 years old and I have been with discovery car insurance, I have my car for 18 years and whenever I had an accident or problems with my car I had to take my car for assessment upon assessment then I changed to Dot Insurance and I was stuck on a busy road, one call to Dot insurance and within 15 minutes the tow truck was there taken to the nearest garage, assessed the problems and fixed within one day, no questions asked, fixed and here I was back on the road, the best service I’ve had in 18 years, we pay so much money on insurances and when there is a problem we are sent from pillar to post but not with Dot insurance,I will recommend Dot insurance with my life
