Having seen other psychiatrists in the UK in the past, with help in some areas but not others, I had come to accept that my significant issues with crippling anxiety, (among many other things) could not be helped and I merely had to learn to deal with them. Then I met Dr Feast. She is incredibly perceptive, knowledgeable, intelligent (and funny, but that’s irrelevant), but most of all when she sees a problem, she is determined to help, and in my case, went above and beyond to do so. She is very firm and by the book, but the difference is that she knows the book from cover to cover and was able to help me when no one else, in South Africa or the rest of the world, could. Incredibly professional, not letting the patient become the doctor, but providing an environment where the patient can stay a patient and being treated as one. The Doctor/Patient roles are set out from the get go, and they don’t deviate- which is refreshing in a world where I previously would research everything under the sun in an effort to try and explain. It’s such a relief to simply be able to fully trust my psychiatrist, her knowledge, acumen and (most of all), understanding. I couldn’t recommend Dr Feast highly enough.

Dr Feast was on call when i was admitted to Akeso Clinic so she became my psychiatrist. She tried to force her views on me constantly and tried to get me to stay longer for something that was not my primary problem. Most worryingly, she quite happily brought into her office one of my directors that was a part of the depression I was admitted for and discussed me with him. She tried to force me to sign documents giving her permission to reveal my medical history to him and others. This was unlawful and I was infuriated by her audacity. She kept threatening to reveal my condition to my employer because SHE felt I was a risk, although there never was, and still never is, any hint of such a thing. She is not interested in the welfare of her patients. All she cares about is developing a name for herself, even if it means stooping low enough to make me a sacrificial lamb in her quest to gain the respect of high ranking people. She also referred to me a nurse that charged me even when I didn't want to visit her. I cannot and will not trust her with my health and/or my welfare. She is a horrible person, a terrible doctor, and a complete sellout.
