I purchased a dropshipping store from Dropstore.co.za that was advertised as fully automated. After payment, I discovered it requires pre-purchasing stock and manual order fulfillment. The seller refused a refund and gave misleading information about dropshipping in South Africa. Buyer beware — this is misrepresentation, and I would not recommend.

I have never been more frustrated with a service provider than I am with Dropstore. If you're an entrepreneur in eCommerce or dropshipping, here’s why you should avoid them at all costs: False Advertising and Overcharges: I signed up for their starter plan, only to find out that they charged me for the most expensive plan without my consent. They don’t even wait for the free trial to end before hitting you with outrageous charges. Trying to get a refund? Forget about it—customer support is useless and never resolves anything. Non-Existent Product Updates: One of the biggest issues is their outdated product catalog. Whenever I try to push products from their website to my store, most of them show up as “out of stock”. This is because the products are 6+ months old and never updated. It’s impossible to run a business with outdated or unavailable stock. Terrible Platform Integration: Even when products are available, their platform is unreliable. It’s a nightmare to sync their products to your store, and you’ll often find stock inconsistencies and error messages that make selling a complete headache. Complete Lack of Support: Their customer service is not only unresponsive, but even when they do reply, they don’t offer any real solutions. You're left feeling frustrated and stuck with a broken system. This service is an absolute disaster. Entrepreneurs should steer clear of Dropstore. They overcharge, offer outdated products, and provide no meaningful support. Don’t waste your time or money!

What a mess! Support doesn’t understand the system as well. Frustration after frustration, it doesn’t deliver, stay away, it will ruin your business.

Spent 2 hours on the Dropstore website comparing prices. Everything on Dropstore can be found much cheaper on Takealot and other websites. Can't see how anyone can make money here.

Pathetic selection of products, website doesn't work properly. They make you sign up before you can even browse the products. All the products are so overpriced I don't see how any dropshipper can make a decent profit. Would not recommend waisting your time with dropstore.

I signed up some time back but then informed them that I do not want to proceed at this stage. However, since early February 2021, every Monday at 1pm without fail, I receive an email asking if I require more support. I have tried to - unsubscribe: button does not work - respond to the email that it comes from: it bounces - write to support@dropstore.co.za: it bounces - contacted them via Messenger twice: they said they would look into it, a 2nd time an employee gave me her direct email, without any result - wrote on their FB page: got deleted - wrote on Insaka's page: someone gave me the co-founders name - contacted the co-founder Adewale Adejumo via Insaka's page directly: no response In the age where every business is stressing about being POPI compliant, they are blissfully unaware/don't care/non-responsive. I could of course just block them, but that would not make them any more compliant.

I signed up with Dropstore to connect more products to my dropshipping business. I had a few hickups and frustrations due to me not understanding how their system works (compared to USA based Spocket and Oberlo) and I was very quick to jump on the team with problems, frustrations and irritations. Lethu and Ayanda have been AMAZING, always helpful, always patient, and always doing their best to get me up to speed quickly. Now that I understand the flow/system, and I know I have the support of their amazing team, I am excited about our future partnering in business. Thanks guys.
