Absolutely disgusting services. Had to take my dad to the emergency room for severe chest pain, they turned us away and said I should rather go to Wilgehewuel hospital because they have more beds. Absolutely disgusting. The head nurse there is not helpful at all, I had to rush my dad to another hospital with chest pain and shortness of breath!. Absolutely shocking!!!!

On the 12 June 2024, my mom was rushed to hospital. Had quite a bit of drama making payment for blood tests (Lancet labs - you can't pay via EFT, what year they going to sort it nobody knows). Then payment for CT scan, first got invoice with incorrect amount, had to wait 40 minutes for fixed invoice, then after paying, I sent through Proof of payment (EFT), also sent through notification from bank that there is a 90 minute security delay (app**** by ABSA bank). The person on duty according to the system it's not showing, I kept on referring to the proof of payment and the 90 minute security delay, he would not accept that. Eventually the doctor on duty decided to do an x-ray, noticed my mom's colon was perforated, shortly after that my mom's vital signs became weak, she was transferred to another hospital, the other hospital could not stabilise her properly, she died during surgery (before and during surgery they had to resuscitate my mom).

I need a scan because of how complicated i am there is a co payment for the scan. It's R2130 which I don't have so I said I'll make a down payment which they refuse. These people are playing with my life. I get seizures an the ENT can't just treat me. People don't have that kind of money lying around all and every day . I think it's sad.

My frail mother had to go for an xray this morning. She is in a wheelchair and neck brace and cannot wait in line, I contacted Wilheheuwel branch and got hold of Lizette Botha. She is an angel. She could not book an appointment but helped arrange the paperwork and promised that my mom would go through quickly, which she has done. Lizette saved us and my mom so much stress and worry. This woman is an angel. For interest sake, I am a Customer Experience Manager for a large, international company - so I know good service when I see it. Drs van Rensburg - you can be proud to have such lovely staff represent your company. Thank you Lizette.

Annetjie's policy at the Wilgeheuwel branch disallowing husbands to stay with their wives in the waiting room before a mammogram is just inhumane. The practice' policy requiring patients to complete a new application form EVERY TIME THEY VISIT is something straight out of the 1950s. Their laughable 'systems' includes providing (and charging me for) xrays on a CD like it's 2004, which the referring doctor said she didn't want, as it was already uploaded somewhere. Their lack of courtesy responding to email correspondence leaves a lasting stench. Because of an administrative error by NOT CAPTURING MY EMAIL ADDRESS (AGAIN!), van Rensburg did not send me any statement or invoice before threatening legal action. I penned an email to Steven Goldsmith, a partner in the business three weeks ago, but Stevo is way too important to reply to unhappy patients. Annetjie forwarded the email to Pierre to deal with, who also chose to ignore the email. Reading the other reviews, it seems that the way Lord Pierre and Lady Annetjie treats their patients all while protecting partners in the business is par for the course. This review won't affect their already failing brand, it makes me feel a bit better calling them out on their bull****.

(1) On the 11th February 2024 I was taken to Wilgeheuwel hospital Casualty department with severe back pain, and admitted after 7 hours lying in Casualty and not been offered anything to eat or drink until I asked after 6 hours. I had to ask the nurse by then to please call the doctor which then admitted me with an authorization number from Discovery. (2) While in Casualty I was sent for x rays and the a CT scan.before doing the CT scan I was asked to sign papers giving them permission to do the CT scan but was never given a copy of what I signed or told there is a co-payment (3) On the 12th February 2024 while still in hospital my Dr sent me for an MRI before I went for the MRI a very young tall thin gentlemen come to me in the ward asking my to sign for the MRI he said there would be a co-payment of R300.00 I asked him 3 times are you saying R300.00 or R3000.00 and he rep**** R300.00 every time, and the patient in the other bed across from me heard him say R300.00 she still commented on it and said that is cheap. again I was not given a copy of what I had signed. (4) When I got home I checked my Discovery Medical savings which was depleted. I saw that Drs van Rensburg & Partners had taken most of my savings. When I called the account department and spoke to a women in the account she had NO EMPATHY sounded IRRITATED and spoke in a ROBOTIC voice as if she was reading from a sheet of paper and that was that sort of take it and pay for it and she still had the nerve to tell me read your policy wording. Hello lady Im in hospital in pain. Is this how the above Drs accounts treat patients trying to find out where there savings have gone, and why there savings was depleted. (5) I was under the impression that when in hospital and they have a authorisation number that it would be claimed under that number. I am totally disgusted with the treatment received from beginning to end with both departments while in hospital. Shame on you

Horrible Experience. Booked an appointment for 8h30 in the morning but when I arrived the booking wasn't made by the person I spoke to, so I had to wait for an hour to be attended To. The receptionist voiced his concerns to which I assumed is his manager, but it just seemed like she didn't care about the whole situation. Pushing the problem to the side, blaming the night staff for the Miss communication and when the receptionist mention that we made the appointment during the day she just brushed it off and it felt like it was whatever. Honestly it was the most unwelcoming environment and I felt I was treated differently because of my race.
