Bad service at Dynamic Auto car sales Klerksdorp

I bought a car from the Klerksdorp Dynamic Auto car sales in January. It gave problems a week later eventually broke down completely end of Feb. It was discovered that a timing belt broke. They had confirmed that a major service was done on the car prior to selling, my view is a faulty timing belt should have been detected with a 'major' service. I told them that I don't want that car back and they should rather refund me. Their response was I only have two options they fix the car and return it or they trade it in for another car and I have to pay the difference. I told them that they do not have a car that meets the specifications and further more I dont have the budget to add more. They also only had very old cars so in my view it would have been trading one problem for the other. While we could not agree I logged a case with miosa to intervene, this was beginning of March. They gave their response already. Towards the end of April I noted that they had a fairly new car on the floor which is R10k more than the one I had bought. Since they had offered the exchange I asked them if they can exchange for that one, the sales director responded that they will work something out and the sales manager will contact me. A week later I asked the sales manager of the progress she said they are waiting for the costs of the old car, I asked her what she means by that- amI responsible for the cost of fixing the old car. She ignored me and they never came back to me since then. I feel this place lacks integrity, they are holding me hostage to force me into taking a faulty car which I belive they knew that it was faulty from the word go or they **** about a major service being done.
