Right so the day I collected the bike I was showed all the setting on the bike and was told ride the bike in rain mode it’s it’s lowest mode until you get used to this bike as it’s definitely a beast and not like other bikes then I left rode the bike the noticed the hooter wasn’t working went back to the dealership and said the hooter wasn’t working as well as the wind shield was falling off but they sorted that out they were busy so I said I’ll come back for the hooter to be looked at went back was told sorry mechanic wasn’t there there 3rd time was told no sorry there was a issue with the left hand control but it’s 7k for a new one I asked how did the bike pass road worthy without a hooter and you didn’t tell me it wasn’t working Stephan said he would make a plan to get the hooter sorted I also asked about the tyres as when I took for inspection after the first few days they said tyres were worn so how did it pass roadworthy but left that then the Sunday before the bike broke we went to haarties and the guys said change the bike into street mode one setting up from rain mode and we rode home then the Sunday my bike broke was the second time riding it in the second setting. We were on the highway took off the highway and 1st 2nd 3rd gear fine 4th gear started shaking 5th 6th fine the stopped at robot pulled off 1st 2nd 3rd gear smooth 4th gear shaking as I changed to 5th gear the back wheel looked up and was stuck on the road in 5th gear I called Stephan and told him he said they were away can I make a plan to get the bike back and they will collect it Monday cool collected Monday and I had to call 3 times to ask what’s happening no call to let me know anything about the bike now I sit 3 weeks later no bike missed last weekend paid for weekend ride away and no offer of loan bike or anything. Bike was then stripped by east rand motorcycles and I was told the gearbox damage was due to me riding the bike and not using a clutch to change gears this is after having the bike for 3 weeks did just over 1000 km then they got the Warrenty company to come check they told AA assessor the same story as there report so they cancelled my warranty. I then took the gearbox parts to KTM fast for inspection they said the gearbox had been worked on before and the circlip holding the gear was not in place and the gear moved causing the gearbox to lock up. They then showed me the extra damage done by east rand motorcycles when they stripped the bike as they didn’t have the correct tools and have damaged the casing and the crank from using chisels and hammers and have damaged more parts I’ve now had another quote from KTM FAST for the repairs on the bike for the extra damages caused from there machanics stripping the bike. I had this bike for 3 weeks it’s now going on 8 months and still have no bike even after there is a report from KTM and I’ve called AA Warrenty and sent them the report regarding there assessors report and cancelling my Warrenty they said they would get back to me and no they refuse to respond about giving me my Warrenty back.
