WOODEN HOUSE AS SOLID AS A ROCK

I stumbled on a negative report on Eco Log Homes and felt compelled to relate my opposite experience with the same company/person. They built my wooden house in an up-market Johannesburg suburb and after three years I am still completely satisfied. The house is built to extremely high construction standards, because, unlike in the USA, wooden houses are not common in Jhb, so the bank and building regulators are extra strict. The result is that I now own a house that is stronger than a brick house. Some finishes were rustic, but when I pointed this out, Werner was more than willing to do whatever I wanted to make it look more sophisticated. We had our disputes, as with every building project I have ever done with other builders, but I found Werner to be reasonable and fair. We were always able to come to an agreement. My only complaint is that the snag list took a long time to be followed up on, mostly because his team had moved on to a remote location, and I had to wait till they got back. But they eventually came and all was sorted. I don't hesitate to recommend this builder.
