Visited Eddies Pmb today because there’s a dress that i’ve been wanting. I only went in today to see if I have a size and how much it is with hopes of buying it tomorrow. Went inside the store with my colleagues and not your two security guys telling one another to watch us closely as we look like we’re going to shoplift and go out the side of the store. One uncomfortably followed me and my colleagues whilst talking quite loud on how we look as if we’re about to ***** or take a shortcut in the store. I told him there’s a dress im searching for we’re not there for that,I have a job I can well afford to be in the store the right way. He said but still he can see right through us,I ended up not looking further for the dress. We got by the door and he leaned over trying to look at us carefully and asked we opened our bags so he can search because he trusts his gut feeling, told him he’s feeling **** because there is no such. My colleagues were so disappointed because I had begged them to accompany me and unfortunately for them-this is their experience and memory of the store from here onwards. That big built guy with a white vest on is one rude security guard that judges people unnecessarily with no merits whatsoever, I won’t be visiting the store again.

I have shopped at Eddies for years and have never been treated badly before- they had given good service. But on this particular incident i had parked my vehicle in their parking and went to Natal Museum- i admit this was wrong- i had even said this to the manager. They clamped my vehicle. He said to me i must pay a fine or shop inside to avoid the fine, this is after calling me a liar and saying I was not going to shop in store- i advised him "who said i wasn't going to shop?". He was very antagonistic thereafter and told me that i must not shop for R20 or R50 as that wont fly here... I obliged and was highly annoyed. I picked out 2 items for around R100 and when i get to the till- the gentleman behind the till begins to antagonize me further and saying i'm not meeting him half way...At this point highly annoyed asked what he meant and he implied that what i had taken was not enough...I advised him they don't value their customers and will be losing me as a customer. He thereafter asked me to pay a fine of R300 to have my vehicle un-clamped. Very dissatisfied with their behavior- even though i obliged and was taking items of clothing...it was not enough. I admitted my mistake but was treated poorly. Terrible customer care experience and will not be visiting that particular store again.
