I recently purchased an Andowl wireless display from Eden Tech, which was advertised to work with AirPlay. Before buying, I specifically asked if I could return it if it didn’t work, and was assured that as long as I had the receipt, returns would be no issue. However, this turned out not to be the case. We spent over 4 hours trying to get the device to work with different Apple devices. We downloaded the app it connects to, but no matter what we tried, we either had no sound or no video. The only time it worked was when I screen shared my Mac, but the video was so blurry and delayed that it was completely unusable. When we went back to the store with our receipt, they tested it with an Android phone, and it seemed to work—so they dismissed our concerns. However, we had clearly asked whether the device could cast movies from streaming services like Netflix directly from an iPhone (not screen share). This didn’t work at all. Even though it failed to perform as advertised, the store refused to offer a refund. They claimed that because screen sharing worked in their setup, the issue must be on our end, blaming our data connection and even rudely suggesting we should just buy an Android phone instead. When we raised our concerns, the staff raised their voices, and one even tried to gaslight us, claiming, “That’s just how I speak.” Instead of honoring the return policy they promised, they insisted on an exchange for an item of equal value. Why would I want anything else from a store that treats its customers so poorly? I was promised a refund, and they refused to honor it. Do yourself a favor and avoid Eden Tech. They don’t stand behind their products, and their customer service is dismissive and rude.

Left my laptop at the Woodmead branch a few months ago for a display replacement as well as a charger replacement. Am not working so it took me some time to get the funds to pay. But when i went to the store to make a payment last month my laptop was not at the store. Am worried that my laptop has been lost, please assist

Stay clear of these thieves !!! Took a phone to have screen replaced, they replaced it. Did not mention anything that there is no warranty or cover. Screen went flakey and could not see or do anything on it the same evening. Went back next morning and they refused to fix it. Went on about not having any warranty, which they then said we should have known to be the case. Said the phone broke because of something we did. They phoned the “shop owner” who was arrogant and said we need to spend more, for another screen replacement. This guy even said “I don’t need your business or care if you tell people”. What a bunch of thieves, just out to steal your money. Actually doubt they even replaced the screen, just opened it and got it to work for another few hours

On 3 August took my phone to Eden Tech Woodmead (they also apparently have a branch in Mall of Africa) to have screen replaced which was done. Screen was faulty so took it in again after which they replaced. However a couple of days after noticed my camera was not taking clear pictures and took it back to them. Checked quality of photos in camera roll immediately before and after them having the phone and the difference is very apparent. Took it back and they initially said they would replace it but changed their tune and said i would have to pay. In my opinion and i have no doubt whatsoever that they switched the camera. Very rude and dodgy business this in my view and would advise extreme caution with leaving your phone in this business hands. Usually use shop at Kyalami Corner which is good but they did not have a screen at the time and needed access urgently. Will be taking legal steps and laying a charge of theft against them.

This guy thinks because his a indian and can speak afrikaans and not even that good went ro the store to go get my money back because the pouch i have just bought is too small and he told me no they do not give money back
