Eggbert Eggs- Safety consumption product issue
On the 23rd May 2024 I purchased 2 x 30 Large egg trays supp**** by Eggbert Eggs to Checkers Cradlestone Mall. More than half of the eggs were broken and dented in the middle of the eggs. This lead me to make scrambled eggs for my dog to eat. The eggs were unfortunately dirty with Chicken Dung and feathers on the outside of the eggs. This was how the eggs Trays were wrapped in a Eggbert Eggs Plastic solution. This is dangerous and unhygienic. Unfortunately I could not see this problem due to the wrapping as normally I turn the Tray upside down to vet the bottom of the Tray if any eggs are broken which I could not see. This is a typical example of how food sources in SA is becoming degraded. This was a Eggbert Eggs problem as the eggs were not properly cleaned, and it seems that their machinery is faulty due to the dents in the eggs and the center area broken. I still have proof of the remainder eggs that are dirty and not safe for Human Consumption. The department of Health and Safety should investigate the factory of the Supplier. The Checkers Headquarters should Investigate this matter as Customers can get sick.

Eggbert Eggs
I am very dissatisfied and disappointed with the eggs I bought at Eggbert Eggs. I bought 7 trays on Tuesday and had to throw most of them away because they were rotten and stinking , what a waste of money. I had the similar incident last year December where I bought in bulk to sell. Most people complained and returned the eggs. They used to sell quality eggs, but the standard and quality has dropped.

I am very dissatisfied and disappointed with the eggs I bought at Eggbert Eggs. I bought 7 trays on Tuesday and had to throw most of them away because they were rotten and stinking , what a waste of money. Eggs
I am so disappointed with Eggbert Eggs. Since March we have this terrible eggs. The eggs on the outside is so dirty and cracked. Some eggs is rotten inside. I do not know what is wrong there but is was never like that.

Disappointed in Eggberg Eggs
I am very disappointed in Eggbert Eggs. We never had this problems with the eggs. Since the lockdown the eggs is not up to standard. The eggs break easily and does not even look nice. Some eggs are broken inside and some you cannot even take out. As soon as you pick them from the tray is breaks immediately. Not sure what the problem is but they seriously can do something about it.

Disappointed in Eggberg Eggs
I am very disappointed in Eggbert Eggs. We never had this problems with the eggs. Since the lockdown the eggs is not up to standard. The eggs break easily and does not even look nice. Some eggs are broken inside and some you cannot even take out. As soon as you pick them from the tray is breaks immediately. Not sure what the problem is but they seriously can do something about it.

FAKE EGGS
I had bought a 12 pack of eggs on the 14th July at checkers. I had made a sandwich and found that the egg that I had chosen for the day out of the pack, was in fact a plastic egg. Now I had known that it was a plastic egg after I had taken a bite of what looked like a delicious sandwich, and to my shock I had eaten plastic. Now this had made me very ill and now I am very concerned about the quality of the foods that we are buying in big stores. This is unacceptable and as a company "Eggbert", your emails that you put on your website do not even work! Your numbers do not even work! And yet you want to **** people slowly with plastic eggs that you supply. I need an explanation as to how can this happen, as I am in shock, anger, and ill at the same time, all because of your fake egg!!! Regards Nomonde

Rotten egg
<p>We did shopping at ladysmith spar kzn, put all the bags in the car quickly went into another shop when we got back into the car something smelled rotten! We couldn't figure out what it was after a while I unpacked the bags and got that rotten smell again, I then opened the eggs and there it was, I smelled them individually and found the rotten egg. It's not even close to the best before date. This is not good </p>

Rotten Eggs
We bought Eggbert eggs end of January, since then I had to throw away more than half of the eggs because it was rotten! We never had this problem before. I'm very disappointed in the product and will never buy it again!
