After noticing a small dent on my brand new fridge I had purchased from House and Home within minutes of delivery I contacted the retailer. The matter was referred to LG and six months later the fridge which has remained unused I am told that it will not be exchanged as the original packaging is not available. The packaging was taken away by the persons who offloaded it at my house. Below please find extracts of my mail to LG: The fridge was unpacked in my presence and tested to show it works. I was never asked to inspect it for damage but it was plugged in and they asked me to confirm if it was working. At first glance I observed no damage and was more excited to get the fridge operational. In one of the photos you cannot see the damage from a certain angle. . The fridge was signed for by the transporter at 09h29 and transported to my house which is about 3.5 km from your branch. According to my GPS it is a 7 to 8 minute drive. They then had to remove my security gate when the fridge could not fit. Then we had to remove the door as it still didn't fit. The fridge was then unpackaged and my front door put back on as well as my security gate. I was observing that this was done properly. The delivery guys then left and that is when i proceeded to get the fridge ready to switch on. Then I noted the damage. I called my wife and informed her of the damage. I took the photo at exactly 10h08 and contacted your branch at 10h12. So from the time of dispatch, travelling the 3.5 km, removing my gate and front door. Carrying the fridge from the LDV into my house, unpackaging the fridge, refitting the fron door and gate and letting the transport guys out of my gate to when I realised the fringe had a small dent and got my phone to take a photo was exactly 38 or 39 minutes. Based on the timeline is it reasonable to conclude that I damaged the fridge?
