Beware Engadini!

After more than 18 months our garden project has not yet been completed. Always excuses, excuses and more excuses. Eventually calls and emails just go unanswered and are ignored. His workers warned me that "He is not going to finish the job. He is going to rob you." An already very expensive project cost me tens of thousands more as I had to get other contractors to finish or redo shoddy work that he could not or would not do. Our property was in a total mess for months on end and my physically disabled wife could not get out of the house for the duration of the previous winter. He would stay away for weeks at a time, only to make brief appearances after being threatened. His contract is misleading and of no substance. He will blackmail you by staying away if you do not pay every rand that you are supposed to pay according to the contract, whether the work has been completed, or not. It was humiliating and traumatizing to see and hear how he treated his workers. We also had to hear from them that they were unhappy and not being paid. Nearly all contractors and subcontractors complained about him and warned us that he will take the money and run, never to complete the job. He simply does not care. I now need to appoint another landscaper to fix and finish his shoddy, unprofessional work. You would do well to stay far, far away from Engadini Landscaping!
