2 Recon Engines (owner) a year ago We had it for 4 months because Jan Louis Venter had no money to pay for the work done, no one must trust this man. The faults had nothing to do with the engine work, since when does skid and kick down have anything to do with a engine control. I was willing to help but if he does not remove this review I will be reporting my engine in his vehicle as stolen on Monday morning. He took my vehicle and R25 000 and promised me it would take three weeks. After 4 months he was still spinning me a different story every week. When I eventually was notified to collect my vehicle I met wayne at the yard and he promised me the car was making lank power. He showed me pictures of the car on a dyno but could not provide a dyno sheet(odd). In my face he told me they tested the car just before I collected it. Driving with the car it was 100% exactly the same like it was before I took it to recon enjines. Can't rev up,does not make power and keeps cutting out. Even his invoice is BS. There is no mention of the parts that were replaced on the motor it just says recon. Ja right. The enjin block is covered in oil. On the invoice he charged me R5000 for electronics but none of the electronics are working. Oil pressure guage not working. Temp guage not working. Speedo not working. Rev limiter not working. There are open wires hanging on the driver side. R35 000 down the drain. These guys are crooks. Stay away.
