I'm an uncle to 2 Kids 7-year-old boy and his sister a 10-year-old girl that goes to this school. here is my store and horrifying experience with the principal Mr., Louw at this school. But first a bit of a back story to what ultimately lead me to wright this review and my discuss with Mr. Louw. I have a younger sister and her husband with 2 kids going to this school. They have been staying in my cottage for the past 10 years free of charge as both the parents has got learning disabilities earning a SASSA grand and doing odd jobs to put food on their table so at the end of the month, they would have at least R3500. I take of my hat to this parent at least they don't just sit back and waste away in depression and drugs like others in their situation So, my partner and I took it Apone ourselves to look after the kid's school fees, registration fees and requirements in the form of books and uniforms as when they started in grade RR as we know education is key to their future. At the end of 2023 my partner and I could not assist with both the school fees and the kids school requirements in the form of uniforms and extra. as we were gained more responsibilities on us too fostering a 15 year old boy that is in need so, we had a discussion with my sister and her husband that we can only assist with the school requirements in the form of uniforms and extra and that we will have to have a discussion with the school to get the kids a study grant as i did my resurge into government school grands and that they do qualify for it. Now this is where the Horror started with us having a meeting with Mr. Louw and his sidekick trying to explain to them the situation. We were treated and spoke to like we were undeserving of his time and told if I don't pay the registration fees that we must remove the 2 kids from his school as will not be welcome anymore. So, my partner and I Had to Take from our hard-earned saving too pay the registration fees My sister was also told that she can apply for the study grand but before even apply was told that she will not get a 100% grand and that she will have to pay an amount any way. For the whole year of 2024 the parents of this kids had to take money meant for food and/or clothing to pay for school fees. Just to find out at the end of the year that there was quite a bit of other less privilege parents that got 100% grants. this heeds the question. why them and not my sister. it seems like favoritism is flourishing in this school. as the saying goes a Fish starts rotting from it head. It's now 2025 and not me and my partner will not be able to assist ones more so let's c if he will kick the kids out of his school as he threatened to at the end 0f 2023. Mr. Louw if you do get to read this. may I suggest learning some humility and knowledge into how to speak to people as we are all human no matter our financial status.

On the 12 August one of the educator's at Esperanza primary in Newlands Johannesburg said to my son his perfume smells like the guys collecting covers in the streets and on the 13 I called the school I spoke to the deputy principal and he told me he spoke to the educator and said the educator said he only said he smells nice and he must go and sit next to the doctor where no one sits .when he told me that the teacher said that he was smelling like the guys collecting covers on the streets iwas so upset thinking that the teacher was referring to the guys collecting gabbage in the streets so the deputy said he will call on Monday to invitigate this matter . He called me and said one of the. Learners he spoke to said he only heard the teacher saying he smells nice and said the teacher said he said my son smells like the guys selling cell phone covers. And when I wanted to ask the deputy principal how do those people smell like he raised his voice and never gave me a change to speak and hung up and I also don't understand the fact that white learners and black learners have separate classes I understand it's both Afrikaans and English they don't even mix in English class

My two oldest children are in the school there .. everything fine . Now my 3rd child needs to go to gr R they have been refusing him two years in a row just because I can not pay a registration fee . I dont work . Struggling to find work the daddy's dont help financially I do it all alone just with child grant from sassa they expect the parents to take money for food and pay school fees for a government school ... what happened to a child's rights to go to school ??? Is there anyway I can take legal steps .... it's so unfair towards my child ... just to be refused coz we cant pay ... the principal mr louw doesn't even want to listen or give me a chance to speak or explain anything.... I'm sick and tired and I'm disgusted

My post regarding Afrikaans teacher for grade 5 - teacher speaks bad to kids using foul language toward kids. Not good for the school reputation as it is a good school but this teacher behaves contrary to what we think a teacher should. Very disappointed in the matter. How can something like this be tolerated

I'd like to bring a matter forth that screams for my attention Laerskool Esperanza primary school teacher Ezry has been harassing violating a student at school for the past year.. Her ill speech, bullying towards the grade 5/20 student has brought me to this point... I feel that as a parent it worries me to even think of putting my child in a school that allows teachers to come to point of bring a student down to his knees where the student doesn't even want to attend school because of fear for the Afrikaans teacher Ezry
