I am forced to give Everything IT one star - preferably a minus I ordered 3 items 1st December, 2025 as needed urgently. I believed to give a new business support. I had to pay up front. After lots of nagging I received my A4 copy paper. The Samsung toner delivered 2 weeks later was incorrect . The Samsung waste container never arrived. Calls and WhatsApp messages were unsuccessful and the excuses were plentiful. Needless to say, I have not been refunded and the cellphone number is not being answered. I have been cheated out of hard earned money! DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE OF ORDERING ANYTHING FROM GAVIN SHAPIRO

Please be aware of Gavin Shapiro who trades under "Everything IT" with an FNB Account # in Johannesburg. He is a ****. He promises to deliver HP cartridges at reasonable prize but he never delivers. He will start giving excuses until he no longer answers the phone.

DO NOT TRUST "Everything IT" or Nick Minnie – My Nightmare in Fish Hoek If you value your sanity, your property, or even just basic decency, stay far away from Everything IT, run by Nick Minnie in Fish Hoek, Cape Town. I don’t write reviews often, but what happened to me needs to be public knowledge. People deserve to be warned about the kind of person Nick is and the abuse he hides behind a tech business. A Simple Repair That Turned Into a Living Hell In early April 2025, I took my laptop to Everything IT. It was working fine except for a charging port issue. I explained very clearly to Nick Minnie that I only needed the port replaced. He seemed friendly at first and promised a 3-day turnaround. I left the laptop with him and expected a basic repair. After four days, I received no update. I contacted him, and he casually said, “Oh yeah, still checking it out.” When I finally got a response a week later, he said the motherboard was "fried" and that I’d need to pay for a full replacement. This came out of nowhere — the laptop was functional when I dropped it off. I asked to collect the device and get a second opinion. That’s when things got ugly. Suddenly, It Wasn’t My Laptop Anymore Nick refused to return my laptop. He claimed I owed him for diagnostics, bench time, and now "storage." Keep in mind — he never mentioned any of this up front. It was classic bait-and-switch. When I protested, he got defensive and outright aggressive. He told me, “You’re not getting anything back until you pay what’s due.” I reminded him the laptop was mine and that I had never agreed to any charges beyond the charging port replacement. He laughed it off and said, "Doesn’t matter, I’ve got your machine now." At this point, I realized something was very wrong. This wasn’t a misunderstanding — it was deliberate manipulation. I began documenting everything and contacted the Fish Hoek police. Damage, Lies, and ************ When I finally got access to my device (after the police helped intervene), it was in a horrific state. The casing was cracked open. The hard drive was missing. The battery had been removed. Wires were hanging loose like it had been used for parts or "experimented" on. Nick insisted he hadn't touched anything and then accused me of “trying to set him up.” He even threatened to open a case against me for harassment if I spoke to the authorities again. That’s when I knew I was dealing with someone unhinged. The police were shocked at the condition of the machine. The officer who attended my case told me frankly: “We’ve heard about him before.”
