Hello Bianco. I am going to reply below for you in detail as I am concerned that you are not going to honour your warranty. The fact that you told me you were not making a profit on this sale after I had just completed payment to you, left me concerned . I soon found out why. n fact this caravan was in poor condition and had serious safety problems that were not immediately apparent. When I complained about the van your brother told me I had signed off a check list document accepting the van. In fact. No such documents were signed ? Once it was tested on a weekend trip I found that this caravan was not even road safe. a) The brakes did not work properly because the damper was broken on the tow hitch causing the van to slam into the back of the tow vehicle when braking. the brakes had been backed off to prevent the van from locking its brakes under braking when stopping, and therefore dangerous. b) The fridge did not work on 12Vdc. Only on mains supply. c) The entire fridge bracket housing was worn out, and dangerously unstable. d) The fridge handles and the left door latch of the lid were missing. You did not refund me out of any emotional as you claim to make me happy. By law I have the right to claim my money back on sub standard purchase. Number 2 caravan bought from you. Once again you did not check this caravan properly before you sold it to me. The microwave oven was broken off of the floor board and the base plate of the stove completely destroyed. Your claim that customers remove the fridge for outside use was absolutely untrue. I approved because I did not see the damage done to the the micro wave oven housing. I was shocked to later find the microwave oven *****s were lying on the caravan floor behind the fridge proving that the stove had broken loose from its mountings. This is a warranty claim. The enlarged holes in the floor indicating complete failure. Your explanation that the customer removed the oven to use it outside the van is clearly untrue. I asked for a new OEM oven because a standard oven does not have securing points on the base plate to attach it to the caravan. You suggested I should take a R1000.00 and fix it myself. You claim to have given me good service?. You claimed that your contact, whoever that might be, told you that any micro wave will work fine. Again, was not true. Bianca, I spoke to you on Saturday about the failed stone blanket. You advised me that this is not standard and is an accessory and therefore not covered by your warranty. According to the official Sprite caravan distributor the stone blanket and the micro wave oven are standard factory fitted, again, you have made a false statement. Bianca. When I asked you about your warranty, you told me that your warranty covers everything except electronics and is valid for 6 months. Your warranties are not detailed anywhere in writing. I asked you for a copy of the warranty terms & conditions and yo have not been able to produce any documents. Instead, your invoice shows a heading called “FEATURES”which contains a reference to a 6 month warranty. The script is so small that it is deceptively inconspicuous and covers only “chassis and woodrot” Please fix my van properly as you should have done without all this nonsense and false claims. I have made an appointment with the customer care person from Sprite caravans following the dealer consultation I had on Monday to resolve your warranty issues. <p>Phoned to purchase an advertised caravan. They assured me that it is wood rot free. On inspection I found that the caravan was completely wrotten in the right front area, totally visible. The fact that i repair caravans saved my friend from this one. Sad part is they will catch some one. BE AWARE</p>
