I bought some books online and a few days later I found out I had to move out of where I was in two days and travel to a different province immediately after. I quickly reached out to Exclusive Books to let them know I would not be at the address I had listed at the end of the week (when my order was likely going to be delivered) due to unexpected travel plans. Lesley assisted in changing the address and surely, later that week, the books were delivered to my main address. Thank you so much to all the people who helped with getting the books delivered to my main address and thank you for being professional and understanding. 5/5 for responding to emails on the same day/promptly.

I have placed an order on the 17th January 2024 even today, the 5th of February 2024 I am still waiting. I am not sure I should 9 months or what. I have called their support centre and they said they will get back to me, that has never happened. I then proceeded to log a ticket on their website, still no response other than giving me a ticket number .Mind you my money was taken. I am done buying books through them.

I ordered a book online on the 26th of November 2021. I immediately decided to cancel the order which I tried multiple times online over a few days. The order just kept saying "being processed". Eventually on the 1st of December I called their Toll Free Number. After calling multiple times someone finally answered. They cancelled my order on their side and it showed cancelled online as well. Then I started waiting for my refund. After a week I gave them a call again, once again it took several calls before someone answered. I was told they will talk to the the Accounts Department and call me back within an hour. I never got a call back and for the rest of that day and the next few days no one answered their phone. On Tuesday the 14th of December I finally got them to answer and was told yet again they'll talk to the Accounts Department and get back to me. Shortly after I received an email with a screenshot that supposedly should be proof that my money has been paid back. The transaction date also showing the 14th. Then I received another email apologising for all the trouble and promising that the money has been refunded and will show in my account within the next 24hours. Its Friday the 17th now. Exactly 3 days since I've received those 2 emails and still haven't received my refund. I've tried call their number multiple times today with no answer. I will never use their online website again.

Exclusive books at the V&A Waterfront has appalling service. I went into the store to get my dad a book for his birthday. They looked it up on the system and told me they had one copy left. I thought, great it’s my lucky day. I was then told that it’s in a box and not on the shelf. So I asked whether we could take the book out the box. The consultant in the store said that he would need to ask the manager. The manager walks up to the counter and says responds to the consultants enquiry with “no absolutely not” while shaking his head furiously. The manager didn’t even have the respect to look me, his client, in the face and respectfully explain why he refused to get the book out the box. I then looked at the manager who had his head down looking into the computer and said “so that’s a no?”. The manager, still without looking me in the face simply shook his head. These guys need sales training, why not make a suggestion of another book that’s “not in a box” or simply apologise for the inconvenience. The manager there literally doesn’t care whether books are sold or not, as long as he gets his salary at the end of the month, he’s happy. How sad.

Great range of books & reading material available here. Prices are also fairly reasonable and competitive. Nicely sized store with a quiet atmosphere, making it a pleasant place to browse for books. They often have amazing sales and specials where you can save alot on various books. They also cater for all genres of literature. The staff are very friendly, knowledgeable and professional and are willing to assist customers. Definitely worth the visit for quality reading material, miscellaneous items and gifts.

Pre ordered a book and went to collect it on day of release. I was told the book is in the back and that they can't give it me. I said I'll buy the book now, from the store and i requested to cancel my order. I was told that I can cancel my order but I wont be given my money back because that is policy. There was no manager on duty. The next day, upon complaining, they said they'll deliver the book. To the surprise of nobody, they delivered the wrong book.

<p>A South African company selling eBooks, a book you can download from any device anywhere in the world, is 'unavailable in your region'.</p> <p>How can a download be unavailable, I even have Adobe digital editions, which is another complaint all on its own.</p> <p>I once asked Exclusive Books how an eBook can be 'unavailable in your region', (a long time ago) and they just ignored me, how can anyone do business like that, not sell books in your own country of business or even respond to clients.</p> <p> </p> <p>Exclusive Books an unproud SA company not catering for its people!!!</p>

<p>Purchased an eBook. Nightmare process to go through. The Help Centre also not able to assist. Username and password already reset - still cannot login. I can rather get into my car and go to the nearest shopping centre - quicker and at least I kwow what I am getting. Never, never, never again. </p>
