Over quote, then no pitch. Super unprofessional.

I believe Expert Electricians tried to rip me off, then *****ed me around 7 times. Still no show. I've cancelled the request for work, and found someone else.

I requested 2 x COC's. One for a house, and one for a flat. The electrician came to our flat, saw the old DB board, and said that it needs to be replaced, as it's too old. I believed him, because he works for "Expert Electricians".

I then took him to my house, and after the inspection, he wrote the quote:

1 x Supply and install 50Amp single pole breaker R950.00 1 x Supply and install 63Amp CBI Earth leakage R1850.00 1 x Supply and install 20Amp breaker for geyser R550 1 x Install 32Amp isolator switch for geyser as well as bonding of geyser R1850 2 x COC inspection R1100 2 x COC Certificate (Which he said was only valid for 3 months) R400 2 x close and box of 2 corrections R300 1 x Service of DB Board (Only 4 stickers had to be applied) R650

The total for the two properties was R7650. I accepted it in my ignorance, but he never pitched to do the work. Every day he would call me 2 hours before the appointment to postpone, because he had "breakdowns". This went on for 3 days, 9am, just after 12pm, then just after 5pm. Then at 4:30pm he would call and ask if we can reschedule.

I later told him please not to come, I'll find someone else - which I did.

This new guy, did both COC's, said we only needed to install an Earth leakage, serviced the DB boards (Both) for free, and only charged me R1000 for the whole job. Really??? Also, he gave me a copy of his Electrical Certificate, and the COC's are valid for 2 years.

Expert Electricians, I'm really disgusted.
