Outstanding shopping experience at ExSolar
I have read all the negative reviews of this company prior to doing business with them. However I have a relationship with ExSolar for about eights years now and have purchased items over this period mainly Victron inverters and equipment. It is difficult to put ExSolar and bad service in one sentence as ALL my experiences with them have been nothing but outstanding. Their willingness to serve, advise and even offering to carry purchased goods to the car is not my experience with the majority of more established and well known companies in South Africa. Once you have paid that's it your on your own. The most outstanding service I must emphasise is my after sales experience. Here too have I not been disappointed (unlike once again bigger and more established companies). I have dealt with Courtney, Kyle and Clarissa and each time I was met with professionalism, courtesy and expediency. As recently as yesterday Monday, fifteen January I cancelled an order paid for by EFT. I was refunded and my money deposited in my bank account on the same day. This is unbelievable and made me ask myself the question, "am I still in South Africa" where most companies have a nonchalant business attitude especially when it comes to a EFT refund. Because of the professional attitude, conduct, courtesy but most of all the outstanding after sales service I always received, I travel from Langebaan to Somerset West about one hundred and fifty kilometres (one way) where the company is based to purchase all my solar equipment. Thank you ExSolar for employing staff whom makes my shopping experience at your store Exceptional.

Best to avoid this company - just about zero service and when you complain you get very aggressive emails.

Revolting & abysmal service - AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
Absolute nightmare to deal with. Another example of abysmal service in South Africa. Even if a product you buy here is faulty, they try every scummy trick in the book to try and avoid refunding you, insisting you take a replacement even though that violates the CPA. My inverter was faulty within the first month of purchase, as confirmed by their staff. They insisted on processing a warranty claim with Victron, even though as per the CPA I requested a refund, which I was fully due. Their excuse? I don't have the cardboard box or paper manual it came with. I've offered to return all the other accessories. I purchased a Victron MultiPlus inverter from this so-called "business" in November. The inverter was handed over without any configuration. I returned it to them twice, the first time being misconfigured by their staff and the second time they identified a fault and needed to process a warranty claim with Victron. If you’re considering making a purchase - save yourself the hassle, headache and regret and rather deal with a competent company who is willing to lift a finger to provide decent customer service. Absolutely lacklustre - avoid at all costs. 0/5 stars.

Excellent Professional Service
ExSolar supplied and installed a 5kWh Lithium-Ion battery and inverter combination at our house in Somerset West as back-up to Eskom power outages. Their service was very professional, including the quick response by the Managing Director to a minor snag. Well done to David Cooke's team. Chris Potgieter

The best service I have received in a very long time! Such friendly staff and prompt response. Even with the pressure of load shedding, they were very helpful with providing me with a full solar grid tie system and backup system. Would definitely recommend! The system works great and I don't have to worry about load shedding anymore!
