I have had the worst experience ever with Cool Ideas and Maboneng Fibre. They have failed to get my new Fibre connection up running for the past 2 weeks and I’ve been more than patient. I have spent countless WORKING hours on the phone trying to get connected, I don't know how many times I have configured my router according to their instructions to no success. Both companies keep emphasising that they are not at fault but keep blaming each other. Langelihle from Maboneng Fibre insists that the configuration is correct and everything from her side 100% but yet Cool Ideas cannot connect due the link being down. What is even worse is that Cool Ideas still continues to debit my account for a service I haven't even used! I've continuously been told by Cool Ideas agents that they have escalated the matter to their Team Leader who for some reason or another has decided to not attend to my matter.

4 more days of no internet have passed and Maboneng Fibre can't tell us what the problem is. After countless calls to their support and no explanation, and you hold till the phone cuts you off. I want them to be able to communicate with their customers more effienciently and not keep us in the dark. This is unacceptable.

Fibrehoods installed my line 4 weeks ago. Tested it to be working. They still have not handed the line over to Cell C - 4 weeks later! They keep calling me wanting to come and install the line - this was done 4 weeks ago! Nothing further happens with their incompetent staff! I am now waiting 1 month to be connected - worst service ever!!

We have been extremely disappointed in the nature of the business run and the lack of customer service. Our complex in Middle Road Morningside Sandton has been waiting for MONTHS for any feedback regarding the installation of our fibre. We were initially told to sign up for fibrehoods months ago in order to receive a special of R1700 discounted fee to install fibre into our homes. Since then, NO HELPFUL COMMUNICATION OR FEEDBACK has been provided to us! Fibrehoods were in a hurry to get us on board into the complex but they have made NO EFFORT to get back to consumers as to when the installation will be complete. Your FALSE ADVERTISING has left us all in the loop and no one in your call centre can help us? Shocking service, not impressed.

Your Call Centre is worse than Telkom. As a new customer I should not be running after you for a Sale. I have phoned 3 times. The first two times I called I was loaded onto system and told I would be called to schedule installation/inspection. I never even received a email ticket or notification. I tried calling again today. First time I was transferred and got cut off. Second time I put the phone down after being transferred for third time. So far i am very unsatisfied with your service and wondering whether I should bother with your fibre or look at another option.

After much deliberation our complex decided to go with Fibrehoods/Vumatel to do the fibre installation in our complex in Northgate. Installations started on schedule and all was on track for us to go live on 1 August 2017. I followed up in the first week of August & was told that there was a delay but we would be live in the 2nd or absolute latest 3rd week of August. I have once again had to follow up as we have had no feedback whatsoever and it's now September. I have now been told that an email has been sent to another person & they are hoping for a reply. What the hell? Unacceptable total lack of communication and no definitive answers ... very disappointing

Someone else came to configure the box & we were told that it would be 8 hours and we would have internet access. It has been 2 weeks with no internet access. We have phoned every day. You have to hold on for over an hour in the automated queueing system. Every day they told a different story- they are coming (never to be seen), they worked on the pole, etc. Yesterday we finally get told the truth that they have got our address wrong, connected everything to the wrong pole. So no apology later & no plan of how they can asap put this right but mweb our service provider has already charged us for this fast non existent internet.
