Total rip-off Terrible experience! We paid R19 246.00 in full for X2 rooms for X3 nights, to never sleep at all the first night as there were mice running all over the exposed thatch and wood logs roof, they made noises all night, I was so afraid those creatures would drop and fall onto the bed while we were trying to sleep. Mice droppings were already on our bed when we came back from dinner but I cleaned that up not thinking those creatures would prevent us from sleeping. I did not sleep a wink, I sat in the chair the whole night with lights and fan on, hoping that this would chase away mice or whatever creatures were making so much noise running up & downt. That didn’t help. Around 2am, I was sending emails to reception, hoping someone would respond as I couldn’t call them till morning. I never slept, as soon as reception opened, I was there, Melanie refused to even believe there was a problem and didn’t try to understand how i couldn’t sleep. Having driven 2 hours to the lodge, for a holiday we really needed as a family and paid R19 2460. 00 in full for but to not sleep at all for the whole night, we decided to ask for a refund atleast for the remaining X2 nights we were no longer going to stay there as we had decide to leave, Melanie refused even that partial refund. So they took money for the bad experience we had and for not staying the entire X3 nights. I complained at their head office, wrote numerous emails to: complaints@dreamresorts.co.za and called but everyone ignored this. Terrible company that cares less about client satisfaction. They also hide how bad the road leading to the lodge is, it definitely needs a suv, smaller cars battle badly
