I bought a Fitbit sense 2 on 24 December 2023 at Cape Union Mart- less than a year later it stopped working, wouldn't charge etc. Cape Union Mart informed me Fitbit has pulled out of South Africa so I should contact them directly. After an argument with them I finally did so. Fitbit Support, now owned by Google, confirmed the refund would be processed - this was on 28 December 2024. To date I have got the run around asking me for photos of the device, then another but in the box, then another with the serial number hand-written on a piece of paper - and the case number hand-written on a piece of paper - then all the above in 1 photo etc etc etc. I have cooperated with every request. One pain staking email at a time - they are just stalling. They have not yet asked for my bank details or anything and it is 4 months down the line. I have phoned, emailed, and live chatted online and have the transcripts of the online chats and to no avail. All they do repeatedly is assure me the refund has been approved but can't tell me when I can expect it. Oh and it's been referred higher up the chain - and from time-to-time they give me a different case number. Of course I quote all 4 of them each time. It is **********!!!!! I loved my fitbit and intended to just replace it - never ever again.
