Foto Discount World ****MMMMMM
Day 22 and still no delivery! Despite multiple follow-ups, I have yet to receive a single meaningful update. I spoke to Quinton on February 27, requesting an update, but my request was completely ignored. At this point, this feels like nothing more than a ****. The company’s communication is practically non-existent, and their marketing is downright misleading. I’m still holding out hope that my package arrives, but based on my experience, I would not recommend this company to anyone. I regret not reading more reviews before ordering. When a company starts hiding their social media reviews, it’s a massive red flag—something is definitely off. Avoid at all costs! I placed an order from China around the same time and have already received it. Meanwhile, this company can’t even be bothered to respond to an email. Absolutely disgraceful!

Good service received
Had a very good experience with their online service delivery. Ordered a high quality lens and received in about a week, with no problems. Would recommend giving them a call and confirming stock availability at supplier and delivery time frame, prior to ordering.

Misleading advertising
Absolutely pathetic service!! Placed otder based on the misleading info on their website regarding available stock and still I have not received my order after two weeks! No correspondence from them to keep me updated. Stay away from Foto Discount World!!

Sweet little lies
Super untrustworthy business with poor service and a mount of lies. Took a camera in for repair and was charged R500 immediately to examine the problem and issue a finding about it. Finding never received only lies. Took camera to Kameralens. They worked on the camera, told me what happened and is wrong, issued a finding report in 5 minutes and charged me R0. Will never visit the former again.

Super untrustworthy business with poor service and a mount of lies. Took a camera in for repair and was charged R500 immediately to examine the problem and issue a finding about it. Finding never received only lies. Took camera to Kameralens. They worked on the camera, told me what happened and is wrong, issued a finding report in 5 minutes and charged me R0. Will never visit the former again.

Watch out for Photo Discount World
First time I used this company. I am shocked. They advertised an item for sale that was not in stock and accepted payment for that item. At the time the order placed that item was not available at the supplier so this was done with no cer*****y they could supply at all. There was no indication that there might be a lead time either. Now I am being told they are awaiting the item from the supplier. The amount is big. There is no guaranteed delivery date now and I am promised 'in 2 days' now it has become 'awaiting item from supplier, we'll let you know when'. With the holidays coming up it would now appear likely that they will not be able to deliver to me before the new year. This is unacceptable for an item of this cost. I requested immediate return of the payment made, a request that is being ignored - not acknowledged at all. People beware............. they may be the 'top camera store in SA' but no company should sell something they do not have unless they state upfront that they are wating for stock!!

A pleasant experience from start to finish
I read the reviews and was hesitant to do business with them, but I have to say I had a good experience from start to end of sale. I checked stock beforehand by phoning, and got a quotation for the camera I was looking for and confirmed stock via email. They responded immediately to my emails and were all around helpful. I went in store to collect and pay for my order and there were no problems there, and they were dealing with load shedding when I was there. It was a pleasant experience and I will definitely do business with them again. They saved the day after a different online camera store, sold me a camera that they didn't actually have in stock.

Bad Experience And Im Taking Steps!!!!
Its extremely disappointing to Purchase in Foto Discount World. One of my friend was treated very bad with his purchase when he requested a refund. I decided to give this company a benefit of a doubt regardless, only to find that they will frustrate me as well. No proper business ethics and professionalism. I have been patiently waiting from December 27 till now and there is no item. I called them on Monday about this issue, and even before that, wrote emails with no response at all. from my friends and my point of view, they don't have stock but they actually order from overseas and it takes long for them to deliver. Horrible experience. I am not responsible for their incompetence and if they don't refund me immediately otherwise i am eligible of filing a lawsuit against their conduct( SA 30 DAY RULE).

Worst online store ever created.
This is the worst place you can buy online. They know they don't have stock then they put the sought item on special. Then they keep you waiting for months and I still don't have my camera. Terrible terrible service. If you email or phone them they come up with a bunch of excuses that does not match what the previous employee told you. DO NOT BUY HERE, you will regret it.

Worst online store ever created.
This is the worst place you can buy online. They know they don't have stock then they put the sought item on special. Then they keep you waiting for months and I still don't have my camera.
