Galileo Open Air at zevenwacht was the worst Galileo experience I've ever had in all the years I've supported this business. The exploitation of the food and drink prices and the ********** lack of efficiency of the food vendors managing orders and resulting in long waiting queues is an unnecessary if patrons could bring in their own snacks. Despite alcohol being insanely over priced, patrons consumed excessive amounts causing raucous conversations and restless viewing of people walking up and down, disturbing the viewing of the movie. Alcohol should be banned as they are in movie theaters!! I never walked out of a Galileo experience and this was a first out of frustration for me. Will not support this business any longer.

Wow the experience with the open air cinema and even the helpfulness and friendliness of staff at last nights event held in kirstenbosch amazing, the vendors food amazing and reasonably priced but the only dissapointmemt i had was their liqour vendor. Please explain how you charge 40 bucks for a beer and think thats a reasonable mark up. Thats triple what a 500mil can costs and its rediculous. If those cans cost approximately 15 bucks how and who allows this type of thievery to take place. Common guys we paying for an amazing experience and the other vendors were reasonably priced so where do you get the gaul to charge people triple the amount because 2 cans equates to a 6 packs money. This needs to be revised because a 10 rand mark up is more than suitable in my opinion so im actually disgusted and dissapointed in this regard. Three tins costed us R145 bucks nah gents this is daylight robery and you know it for a fact. Had it been a extra ten bucks added making it 25 bucks a can you would have still turned a profit. I am disgusted.

I went to see a movie on Wednesday 4th January 2023 with my family. I had purchased 6 tickets. The movie and setting was amazing as it always is when we attend. Unfortunately there was a racist incident with my children and your staff member at Galileo. I was quite horrified and disgusted to see that racism exists amongst your crew member and when I approached him, he gave me his name Andre and I then learned that he is the manager. I would seriously look into this as I am sure it's not the first time. To give a quick summary: my daughters were sitting on the rocks and he approached then with an attitude saying they are not allowed to sit there. Now I was watching them the whole time so I could see what was going down. 2min later some white children were sitting on the very same rocks and Andre(Galileo manager) had just left them. So to test what I had a bad feeling about. I sent my daughters back to the rocks to sit on them. He didn't even wait 2 seconds to approach them and tell them to get away. I am purely disgusted with this. It's okay for white children to sit on the rocks and not okay for my colored Muslim children to sit there. Myself and my husband approached Andre and his whole attitude changed as he then realised that we had been watching our kids the entire time. I will never allow my kids to be disgraced like this. We should be living in a racist free country but yet racism still exists and at such a prestigious place. This was Unfortunately very very upsetting. I hope that the Galileo and it's staff members Andre in particular are addressed about this and that this never happens to any other children ever again purely because they are not white.

Paid for tickets for my family. Expecting a wonderful experience. Well, they started well, I came from work so I would have been late. Chairs paid for, food, the works. I just made it on time for the movie. I have a password to enter and they give me my arm band to enter.... Here comes a employee who takes the chair from me and say I should pay for that....well, the story goes, my wife arranged with what she said the same person who said he will give me my chair after they took theirs(why he didn’t give it to them when they walked in, Lord knows) I then went to the chairs section where the staff were already loading the truck before the movie starts and give me all sorts of comments. I don’t know why they are like that or if it’s the personality of the staff member but the problem is when I went to the manager he blew me off and said that he knows the guy. What does that even mean? I’m complaining about the service they’re delivering. Well, after 10min of back and forth the wife came and fetch me because she knew something went wrong. The cheeky staff members of this company is pathetic and childish. Even the old man thinking he is a lovely boss. You drive the bakkie, we all know. And then? A customer complained and nothing happens. No apology. No nothing. This is the worst customer service. A lekker movie won’t make the business a better business.

For December thus far I have purchased tickets for their events amounting to R880 and only from the 01-13th December, there were still more events I was planning around for January as well. On Wednesday I bought tickets to A knights Tale and only after did I notice the movie was not age appropriate for my child which is not shown on their Facebook post for this event. I only wanted to change my tickets to a different screening which was more appropriate and all I was told is they do not do refunds? Seriously, I don't want my cash back, I only wanted to change the event. I am totally disgusted in this as they can decide to quickly change events last minute but me, being a customer wont be allowed to do so! Please could someone advise what my rights are as a customer????????
