I've reported my leaking geyser at Gap Geysers as it was still under guarantee... on the 20th of May 2022 and they haven't paid me since they've been liquidated and can't replace it with a new one. I have filled out all required documents, signed and emailed to Robert@gapgeysers.co.za. They kept saying that liquidators will only release payments on the last day of the month(Month end) I haven't received anything and my email are not attended anymore.

Do not buy a Gap geyser. All of the geysers in our complex were Gap. 90% of them have blow within the 5 year warranty period, where Gap is supposed to replace them. But the are under Liquidation, and will not replace you geyser. And to top it off, the people who you are dealing with at Gap just ignore your calls and emails relentlessly. Good luck to anyone who already has a Gap geyser.

Been waiting for 3 weeks for Gap geyser to honour their warranty obligation. Geyser under warranty and supplier does not want to release geyser to plumber as Gap geysers account is frozen. No response from Home Assist or Gap geysers, now in its 3rd week without hot water. Both Shileen from Home Assist and Robert from Gap hiding away from their responsibility, even MD of Gap not getting involved after requests. Disgusting service, no pride in product or service. A silver lining was that my broker at Werner Vosloo and Santam was so disgusted in the situation that they decided to transfer it into warranty claim to assist their customer, although it is negatively affecting my claim history, I am getting sorted out with a new quality product, definitely not a Gap geyser, I am sure that the insurance company took note and in future will not fit Gap geysers. Absolutely disgusting service from Gap geysers, stay away.

Zero rating for both indwe and GAP. Made a claim about 2 or 3 years ago about a geyser fault, they appointed a plumber that had it replaced (gap apparently HAD THE GEYSER REPLACED ) and now less than 5 years later I’m been given the run around cause the said geyser is apparently ‘burst’ and don’t know who to talk to and not getting the help that I need FFS. Spoke to the manufacturer (GAP) and they’re telling me they’re waiting for photos from insurance (indwe) and the said insurance (indwe) is telling me stories (I have to find out more information from the manufacturer), I’m stuck between two companies not knowing who should take responsibility for this repair or replacement. Indwe is just unreliable when it comes to customer service shame

Our geyser started leaking heavily and GAP agreed to replace under warranty. That was 3 weeks and many phone calls ago. They've contracted a company called HomeAssist to handle replacements under warranty. After waiting for days, I followed up to be told they don't have a plumber in the area. Not that its my problem, but I recommended my plumber and passed on his details. I then took them a week to contact the plumber. They then told me everything was arranged, but that was a week ago and they still haven't actually contracted the plumber. So after 3 weeks, we still have no hot water. Out of desperation, I've now got the plumber to reopen the leaking geyser - which cost me over R800, along with the wasted water, but least my family could take a shower after 3 weeks. Ironically, from their website, "We pride ourselves in guaranteeing that are clients are satisfied, not only with the products, but also with the support we give them after a sale". Just a string of pathetic excuses and finger-pointing...

Bought my Gap Geyser on the 17 February 2021 at Cash build. I was told that this is a good geyser and was locally produced and had no cone backs . I was told that this is a very reliable geyser. 5 months later I have a broken geyser. I reported the problem to Cashbuild and they reported it to Gap. A full day later I phoned Cashbuild to ask if they are going to replace because I had no communication from them. The manager then told me that he was waiting on Gap to get back to him. A day later I was given a reference number. Later that day I contacted Gap myself and was told that I will have to waiting for the Plumbers to come out . Day three the plumber came out and told me that he must report to head office and they will get back to me. It is now day four without hot water and no communication. Very disappointing. Buying local is not always the best way to go.
