Shocking service and dishonest. On the 4th of November I reported that my garage door was not working (spring broken and wires had become unwound). Their technician, Moses, came out to sort it out. Moses “fixed” the door on the 6th of Nov but on the 7th I reported to him that there was a gap of about 10cm from the bottom of the door to the garage floor. He arrived on the 10th of November and sorted out the gap but again on the 16th of November I reported that there was and issue with no response. On the 18th and 23rd of November I followed up and finally the matter was corrected just after that. However, the door was still working intermittently and as I was going to Mauritius for a week I left it at that. On the 1st of January the door wires became unwound again and when I lifted up the door manually some heavy weights fell out, one landing on my big toe which was extremely painful. I have sent a WhatsApp to their offices in Cape Town and have not had a response and having contacted their technician he informed me that the correct spring has to be installed (why did he not do that in the 1st place) and that the company has closed their office in CT but he could fix the door (obviously for my account) I phoned their office in Jhb yesterday (11 Jan) and a lady answered and said she would get a sales manager to call me back withing 15 minutes. She said that I did not need to give her my cell number as she had picked it up on the switchboard. No one phoned me back and whenever I called the same number I received an automated message saying that this number is not available. I called a few times on the 12th of Jan and I received the same message. I then phoned from another phone number and a different lady answered. After explaining my story she said there was nothing they could do as the company has closed in CT. I asked what they were going to do about my incorrect installation and the 3 year warranty issued to me in November, also knowing that they were closing CT branch which is surely fraudulent and she said there was nothing they could do and hung up the phone on me. I tried calling back a couple of times and the phone was not answered. What kind of a company are you running? Unless the door is fixed urgently or I receive a full refund, this message will go to Carte Blanch, Hello Peter and any and all social media platforms that I can access. Following that, the matter will go legal.
