Unacceptable Service
I would not recommend Gary's Gardens at all. He installed an irrigation system for me, did not leave instructions on how the timer works, ignored my calls. I got through one morning and a promise was made that someone would be through on the Tuesday morning. Person did not pitch and no apology or anything. Another time was made and when I followed up, the person said Gary told him he had made another time with me. Absolute lie. I was quoted as per Gary that a Gardena timer would be installed, this was not the case even though that was what I was charged for. He installed a TAP timer which goes for R817 on takealot. For the money I paid, I was **********. Found the timer online and programmed myself. Irrigation does not water some of my garden and I have lost plants and grass because of this. I now need pay more money to get another company to fix the irrigation! Gary has no integrity and certainly will never recommend this company.

After service follow up makes a difference
Gary’s Gardens were paid to put lawn dressing and fertilizer on my lawn. I watered it as instructed but after three weeks notice a lot of ****s and clover growing on the lawn which were not previously there. There were also patches of soil where the lawn had not grown above the lawn dressing. I sent Gary several messages, photos, phoned him and sent a video of how the lawn looked. I asked him if he could come and give me advice as to what could be done. He never responded and the one time I managed to speak to him he said he was very busy and did not have time to come and see the lawn. A week later I sent him a message asking him to come and see the lawn. He never responded and I have no choice but to give him a negative rating. I believe a business must follow up on a client’s concerns.

Great service and value for money. Arrived on time for both quote for garden clean up and to do the work. Team did a great job. (This review previously incorrectly tagged to Abacus Gardens)
