Not a good company to deal with. They start of good till things go wrong they do not accept responsibility for their mistakes or honor their guarantee. They rebuild my diff and it is not correct after complaining to them they rudely tell me I must just use it like that. I regret the day I took the job to them.

Stay Away from Gearbox Diff Randburg Their workmanship is extremely poor. After they replaced my gearbox, they damaged the wheel bearing. I paid an arm and a leg for the repair, but ended up with more problems than I started with. Very disappointed and would not recommend their services. Stay Away

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY TO REPAIR YOUR VEHICLE. THEY DO NOT HONOUR THEIR WARRANTY!!!!! THEIR WORKMANSHIP IS SHOCKING!!!! WE TOOK OUR VEHICLE BACK 4 TIMES AND NOW THEY TELL US THE WARRANTY HAS EXPIRED. OIL STILL LEAKING FROM THE GEARBOX AND DRIVETRAIN LIGHT STILL ILLUMINATED ON THE DASHBOARD. NOT EVEN THE OWNER CARES. HE SIMPLY TELLS US THE WARRANTY HAS EXPIRED AND WE MUST PAY.

Yet another bad review. Perhaps these people should just close their doors. They recently worked on my gearbox. Then a week later, told me I could collect the vehicle. At no point did they tell me that they refuse to use the credit card machine displayed prominently on their reception counter. Only after I had Ubered there with my credit card did they tell me that payment had to be made via EFT. They refused to listen to reason, or to admit that their refusal to use the credit card machine on their counter was their problem, not the customer's. I pleaded with the receptionist to call her manager so the matter could be resolved amicably. She refused. I asked her to call the police, so they could decide the legalities of the situation. She refused. Eventually, after standing in their reception area for at least 15 minutes, with the receptionist completely ignoring me for most of them while she mumbled to one of her colleagues, I told her that if she didn't come up with a solution - or call her manager - within the next couple of minutes, I would be leaving with the car and settling the bill via EFT as soon as funds had been transferred into my account. (I had previously moved all spare cash into my credit card, to enable me to settle the bill via credit card) Still nothing happened. So I left, calmly, and drove my car home. Then settled the account, in full, via 2 EFT payments. Gearbox Doctor will respond here and say I took the vehicle by force. They will say I "ran away." Nothing could be further from the truth. Their own camera footage shows me calmly walking to my car, then driving slowly away. They will also say I nearly "knocked" their mechanic. The same camera footage shows the mechanic and the receptionist hitting and kicking my car, trying to gain access so they could assault me. Despite this unacceptable assault, the footage shows me driving away calmly, not responding to their unexpected violence. At one point the mechanic stepped in front of my car, but he quickly stepped away again. At no point was I anywhere near him. They will also say, again and again, that their receptionist told me the card machine is not working. Yes, she did tell me. As I stepped out of the Uber to collect my car. Not when I first dropped off the car. Not when I received the quote. And not when she told me the car was ready to be collected. At no point was I given enough advance notice to transfer enough cash to settle the large bill via EFT on the spot. Gearbox Doctor also claim to be RMI members, on the signs at their premises and on their business cards and flyers. I contacted the RMI to verify this. The RMI confirmed that they have not, and have never been, members of the RMI. A clear indication of their level of honesty.

Interesting people there. They don't know their diagnosis report should include GEARBOX. 2 weeks ago I send car for diagnosis of gearbox because of noise inside. Get a quotation of 27k and guaranteed to fix. Too risky to continue, so decide to leave. Paid 750 for their diagnosis and asked for report. Report says only DTCs, Nothing related to GEARBOX at all. The reception said this is the only report if I don't agree to open the gearbox. It seems like they gave me the quotation and guaranteed to fix but they don't know what the problem is yet. The report attached for reference in their google reviews. my car's details is removed by myself.

They damaged the battery on my husband's car. We had purchased a new battery for R2,3k a day before we took the vehicle for repairs, now they want to give us R1,8k or replace the battery (hopefully with a new one). There has been a lot of back and forth for over a month and still no battery. They say we have the battery only to find that they purchased a smaller one. The inconvenience is ridiculous. If you plan on taking your car to them, say a little prayer that they don't damage your property as it's a nightmare for them to sort it out.

I had a Diff on my BMW 320i Manual 2012 model replaced on the 9 December 2020. Twice in the same December had to return to the workshop as the replacement Diff was leaking. Noted the warranty on the Diff i was informed is 6 months. Around August 2021, I noticed that the Diff was noisy again albeit at low volumes. As months went by, the noise got worse. Only this December when I was having my tyres sorted I went under my car, only to discover that the Diff has been leaking from where the Diff joins the Prop Shaft. I then got in touch with the workshop that replaced my Diff, specifically looking to speak to the manager who had attended to my car when I was not satisfied when there were initial leakes from the newly replaced Diff. I was then informed that the Manager Mr. Costa was on holiday and they could not help. I then discovered that there had been a new branch opened near me, in Randburg. I got in touch with them(Randburg Branch) only to discover is the same Manager Costa, as one from the Doornfontein Branch. I was then informed that I was to pay an additional R12000 to repair an issue on a refurbished Diff I paid R8 000 less than a year ago. This manager cannot be reached on his listed mobile number yet the Randburg Branch is in constant communication with him on the same number. I was later informed to send him a WhatsApp text that is yet to be responded/attended to. I would not recommend anyone to this guys.
