Concentric slave cylinder failed after 6000km!
Between November 2020 and March 2021, I had R28 030's worth of work done at GearBox Select. Transmission rebuild in November 2020 (R14000), concentric slave cylinder replacement February 2021 (R6325), LUK clutch replaced March 2021 (R7705). Important note to all this, I work from home, and hardly ever need to drive. When there is a need to drive (on a weekend) we rotate between my wife's car and my vehicle. Around September 2021 the clutch pedal stopped coming back all the way, but due to covid, work, and illness, I could not attend to it sooner. February 2022 I phone GearBox Select, they say it's probably air in the system and I must bring it to them. March 2022 I finally get a chance to take the vehicle to them. Vehicle has done ONLY 6000km in one year. After a week there, they phone and inform me the concentric slave cylinder is faulty (again). This is a slave cylinder they fitted 6000km ago. The best they can offer me is a discount on the labour. Yes, I need to pay (again), to have a concentric slave cylinder fixed, that was fitted only 6000km!! and 12months prior, by GearBox Select. That's how they stand by their work... I politely asked for my keys and left.

Excellent Service
Thanks to the team at Gearbox Select for the excellent service. They were professional and cost effective in repairing my Wife's BMW X5 gearbox. I will be sending my CLK to them soon as it also needs a gearbox repair. I would recommend that you give them a call if you are in the market for a gearbox repair or recondition.

Excellent Service
Thanks to the team at Gearbox Select for the excellent service. They were professional and cost effective in repairing my Wife's BMW X5 gearbox. USELESS, THIEVES!!!
<p>ABSOLUTELY USELESS!!! They had my Pajero 3.2DiD Auto for 5 months to sort out that it was not engaging into reverse. After this one simple thing, more and more things went wrong!! So been waiting since April 2016 for my vehicle to be sorted! Im starting to think that they are some sort of chop shop. Things going wrong with a vehicle that didnt have certain issues. Useless, unknowledgable, unreliable young boys running the shop that are playing guessing games!! </p> <p>They should be closed down!!!</p>

GEARBOX SELECT in Koedoespoort..... JULLE IS N MORS VAN TYD!!!<br> Die SLEGSTE diens ooit! My kar staan al 8 maande daar en 8maande se beloftes en hulle het nog NIKS aan my kar gedoen nie! En wil ook nie my geld terug gee nie!!! Sal NOOIT enige iemand aanbeveel om hulle kar na die mense te vat nie. Ek was al hof toe hulle gee nie om nie! En ons moet heeltyd agter hulle aanbel, nadat daar gese word hulle sal ons terug bel. Maar steeds bel NIEMAND. En 2gearbox's later uit my sak en die kar staan steeds daar nog NIKS aan die kar gedoen nie. Hulle uhm en ahh as mens nuus soek! Genoeg is nou genoeg!
