This is a bogus company. They have used another company’s profile and are ****ming people. I paid for a generator on line and have never received it. They do not answer emails or phone calls. This is a **** company.

Please do not be fooled by this company , it is a **** . They seem to be legit with their email address , website , knowledge of product . We got a qoute on a 1250 Kva generator and decided to visit the Gentech premises prior to paying due to the high value of the generator . Turns out they do not exist , the security at the business park where they are supposed to have their offices confirmed that alot of people run ****s from that business park . We called them to say we are at their registered address only to be told that they will call us back . Surprise Surprise they completely disappeared . Please please do not fall victim to this company and the ********s who are involved with it www.gentech-power.co.za (041) 110 0273 062 212 9168 Blake E. I didn't realise that i kept damaging my my battery every time i used my inverter without allowing the battery to charge to 100%. After speaking to Agnes in the customer care department, she explained to me that by doing this i am shortening my lifespan of my batteries. I'm so much happier now that i am wiser. Just one downer, it took a while to get through on the call but i understand, it's crazy times we live in!

Bad product - shocking service - Abusive sales rep and owner. The invertor stopped working while under warranty. It was sent for repairs twice. After three months I requested a refund. The owner of GenTech refused. Took zero responsibility for the poor service, lack of communication and zero ownership of the fault. He then demanded that I, the customer, drive to his premise, where he will show me that I am at fault - without knowing any information. The irony was the invertor was on his premise longer than it was at my house. Thank-you Johannes and Christine from Leroy Merlin for supporting me on this matter. GenTech should be removed as a supplier. Period.

Stay away from this brand. If the correct people were at the hardware store that day, I would have never bought a trolley inverter from GenTech. After 2 and a half months not even using the unit a lot. They recon the one year guarantee / warranty does not cover the battery, which is 80% of the unit. Was at Builders and Chamberlains and both staff members do not recommend this brand. The manager I spoke to are also very arrogant and refuses to assist in any way. I am going to the ombudsman and then a lawyer for selling me false promises. This is just to warn as many as I can. Which I told them I would and they did not care. a Lot of money and now I sit with a peace of ****. Have to pay R3000 to replace the battery myself, which is unacceptable for a thing a barely even used. Best part is they tested the battery and gave me a slip that said its 100% Not a load shedding solution according to them.
