Tar Job poorly done and Incomplete
We appointed Geoff Tar Projects on 24 March to tar my household driveway. I was initially informed that the project would take only two days to complete. However, as of 26 May, the job remains unfinished. Only about 75% of the driveway was completed, and the workmanship was far below the expected standard. I was assured that the team would return to fix the poor-quality work, but to date nothing has been resolved. Over the past two months, We have continuously received different explanations and excuses, mainly regarding supplier price increases and material issues. Last week, I was even asked to pay an additional R3,000 for the delivery of the remaining materials, yet no delivery has taken place up to today. We have now again been informed that prices have increased. I deeply regret appointing this company, especially after being convinced by their impressive adverti*****ts and marketing. Unfortunately, my experience has been extremely disappointing, and I am far from being a satisfied client.

Don’t use Geoff Tar - June 2025
Very poor workmanship from Geoff Tar Projects . The tar started deteriorating within 2 days and several spots had loose gravel. Surface was supposed to be smooth but was rough and uneven as hell.

Geoff Tar inability
Geoftar’s inability Would not recommend using this company under any circumstance, arrived at site with insufficient material, machinery without diesel, and half a brick as a stamper, Geoff promises the world but sadly doesn’t deliver, the completed work falls far short of satisfactry, the 5 year guarantee is worthless, as Geoff is no longer available to rectify work. Complete disappointment and waste of funds.

Stay away for Geoff Tar projects.
Stay away!!! Geoff was very responsive to my quotation Request. I paid the deposit and everything went downhill. The preparation work was pathetic and his people left my premises in a state. After raising my concerns Geoff informed me that he under quoted on the project. I did Request a refund on my deposit. Geoff informed me that he was not able to refund me because he used the money on something else. In order not to loose my deposit i agreed to pay the extra money. Take note i had to pay for all the tar to be delivered on my premises. Not one sent of my deposit was used towards my project. Geoff did not even pay the transport company delivering the tar. The owner of the transport company did not want to leave my premises until he was paid. Once again in had to pay for the transport in order to prevent a situation. The workmanship on his job was pathetic. The tar was not even 10cm after compaction, he quoted for 25/30cm. The quantity of tar wasn't nearly enough to cover the quoted area. The finishing work was horrible!!! Because i paid for everything i did not have any hold on him and therefore he had nothing to loose. 4 days after the installation the tar was lifting and cracking. Jeff did not respond on my calls. Eventually when i got hold of him via a different number he promised to come and make a turn. We made an appointment but he was a no show!!! After many calls and messages no response. I used a different number again to get hold of him. With new excuses and promises. He blocked me and moved on. His entire team are foreigners with no documentation at all. Be aware!!! Your money is ****** the moment you pay the deposit.
