What a disgrace!!! They do not answer a single phone call! We reported a faulty prepaid electricity meter 3 days ago. I had a ref number after holding on for 1 hour 23 minutes. I took a day of work to wait for the technician to come and repair my locked meter as nobody would be home we work full day, no time allocated can be given. Just wait the entire day and nobody pitched. There literacy is so bad they cannot take down an address even if you spell it like you would do to a 3 year old. nobody is home. They never pitched. I went to the municipality today and was blocked at reception. They will call me to tell me when a technician will come out. I cannot load vouchers but what do they care!!!!!! I am still waiting, nothing!!!!! Disgusting

I am writing to express my utter dismay and frustration at the disgraceful service provided by the George Municipality. Tonight, a lady who recently purchased a flat in George is left without electricity—a situation that could have been entirely avoided had your department acted competently and responsibly. Despite repeated efforts by the seller, the new owner, and us as the selling agents to resolve the matter, the electricity meter remains blocked. This issue has been brought to your attention multiple times through in-person visits to the relevant department, yet all we’ve received are empty promises and blatant inaction. We were assured that the meter would be unblocked by 6 PM this evening, but yet again, your promises have proven to be hollow. This is not just a matter of inconvenience; it is a fundamental failure of service delivery that leaves your residents in untenable situations. The complete disregard for follow-through and basic professionalism is unacceptable and reflects poorly on your municipality. We demand that this issue be rectified immediately and that a formal explanation for this shocking level of service be provided without delay. Called 18:30 on Saturday evening to report electric outage. Attended that evening but too dark to safely work on pole so returned early the following morning, power restored by 07:30. First rate service.

As a resident for the past 18 years I have seen our town, being a popular holiday destination, going backwards year on year with regard to our Xmas street lights. This year was no exception! I really think more can and should be done to impress visitors/potential new residents!!!!

Rude Staff at the ticket office I came not for once but several times and Stan in a queue to load the bus card ,the service is very poor staff working at the till counters doesn’t even greet and they are always angry shouting at commuters .the behaviour is not acceptable this needs to be addressed as these buses are for the municipality and not theirs .customer service requires one to be friendly and welcoming at all times.i will report this to the Head of the Municipality as well .

We have ask them (municipality) numerous times to let the refuge truck pick up all the black bags on Wednesdays first because of the 'Green Belt' we live next to. Denneoord is very close to the mountain and a lot of baboons live there. They tear the bags looking for bits and pieces for something to eat. Bags are put out early in the morning, but the bobs wake up very early and then they are getting busy getting their breakfast for the day. If the GM allow the trucks to load the bags early , it will help not to have a lot of bags torn open. Please help us because that is not a lot to ask.
