I’ve been a loyal GHD user I have the hairdryers, brushes, everything but I’m very disappointed. My previous GHD broke down in the middle of last year, and when I got my invoice this weekend, I realized the warranty had already expired. Now my current GHD styler has also stopped working. Both times, I barely used the products, and when I contacted GHD, I couldn’t get any help. I don’t recommend buying a GHD if this is what to expect having to replace products that hardly get used is frustrating. If nothing is done, I’ll have to find another brand that actually stands behind its products. I really hope GHD will step in and repair or replace my styler, to show they value loyal customers like me.

I contacted customer services via their email adress 13January. I am still waiting for proper assistance and for my issue to be resolved. "Candice" has been the one replying and she just does not resolve it. She sends short answers, answers half and now she just does not respond. I am extremely unhappy with GHD South Africa.

GHD worst hair straightener i purchased. I purchased a ghd in April 2025 for my birthday. Within a few months it gave me issues it was faulty, It was replaced in October 2025. It is now January 2026 and I have the exact sale problem with the straightner. I have requested a refund but they are not willing to help to me. The is worst service I have received from such a reputable brand that costs me thousands of rands. Many people told me not to purchase from them because the quality of the products are not the same anymore. I am very disgusted with the service I received I will never ever recommend this brand to anyone. I had. Silver bullet before I purchased the ghd and I never had any problems it was working perfectly for a couple of years Mind you the ghd was hardly used I only used it once a week and this is the experience I had. Pathetic service and not a reliable brand at all.

I purchased a hairdryer from GHD and the discount code didn’t go through. I called GHD and they told me to purchase it again and they would refund me. They made a mistake and didn’t do the cancellation - instead this was shipped and I still do not have my refund!!!!!!!! This is very frustrating from as this should have been resolved on the same day.

I am EXTREMELY disappointed in the GHD hair straightener as their quality is DEFINETLY NOT worth the price you pay. My straightener bought in Dec 2022 has just broke which is 10 months after the 2 years warranty expired and I only straightener my hair once a week at most as I'm very pro-healthy hair, its barely been used. PLEASE DO NOT BUT A GHD AS THEY ARE ONLY made to last 2 years therefore only a 2 year guarantee. I'm highly disappointed and GHD will never receive my support ever again and I will also ensure I communicate to friends and family that I highly suggest they DO NOT get GHD straighteners, which some already also has bad experiences of their own. It really seems from feedback on this platform and word of mouth that GHD is certainly getting a reputation.

So are they now making hair straighteners that only lasts 2 years? GHD also don't do repairs anymore. You pay a fortune to get a proper GHD that will break after 2 years. I think that is unacceptable.

10+ Years and still going strong!!! I bought my GHD back in 2008 and i must say that i cannot go anywhere without my beloved straightener. I still use the original GHD model and cannot think to replace the GHD with a different brand. I did at one point thought i lost my device as it went through a full cycle of the washing machine BUT just a few days and a good clean and it was back to work. Only reason i give 4 stars is due to pricing of new devices, if i am in need to upgrade as i am hoping my original model works forever as replacing it is too much for my pocket. Other than pricing, i have tested the newer models and must say not disappointed at all
