Absolute worst company to use, bad after sales service and seem to only care about getting your money out of you... Douglas Deerens is the rudest and most abrupt person you can ever come across in your life and shouldn't even be dealing with people.

Superb service from the word go! From being adamant that I was not prepared to install a complete new system, Douglas left having sold me a complete new system (very much because he was able to justify and explain why, and answer my 20k questions that came with it). There were some dependencies involved (erection of a new wall and extension of an existing wall), and Daphne consistently made contact to ensure that all was running according to plan. Things unfortunately didn’t go according to plan, and Daphne managed to push our fence installation out slightly (keeping in mind the 2 week lead time and them being extremely organised in this sense – this certainly upset their apple cart – yet they were still very much accommodating and understanding). Even went so far as enquiring on their end, about curing times of cement, and raised the tight timelines (between wall erection and electric fence installation) as a risk! They clearly do go the extra mile! Sam and his team did a sterling job of the installation on the day – and it’s quite obvious they are experienced and very much prepared for what the installation may throw their way (from having a welder, to cement on hand). All in all, the experience truly was a breath of fresh air, especially considering the poor customer service one somewhat becomes accustomed to! Keep up the great service and workmanship guys! I won’t hesitate to recommend (or commend) your services – and you certainly will be my “service provider of choice” going forward!

Superb service from the word go! After sales service from this company is non existent. It would appear that the only thing that matters is your payment and then the excuses start. Load shedding...Staff not available at the office. Emails to them are blatantly disregarded. My last correspondence with Vidette Bothat was on the 8th of June and I have been ignored since. Five months to verify installation and Seven months without a COC.

It has been 10 days of absolute frustration in getting my electric gate fixed. From broken promises, only one phone call back in all that time, no shows and receptionist that speaks to you, the client, as if you are her child. Rude, insulting and no professionalism. I am still the client and you the SERVICE provider. They claim on their website "SAME DAY SERVICE" if you call before 10am. Well that is so far from the truth.... Please, if there is anybody in Gido that is concerned about you reputation, please help!!

It has been 10 days of absolute frustration in getting my electric gate fixed. From broken promises, only one phone call back in all that time, no shows and receptionist that speaks to you, the client, as if you are her child. Rude, insulting and no professionalism. I am still the client and you the SERVICE provider. They claim on their website "SAME DAY SERVICE" if you call before 10am. Well that is so far from the truth.... Please, if there is anybody in Gido that is concerned about you reputation, please help!!

Having used Gido's services 4 times over the past 20 years at some of my properties for electric fencing and gate motors, I decided to use them again for my daughter's property. I contacted them during September and asked for Douglas, as he was the consultant on my last 2 properties. He immediately informed me that they would not be able to accommodate me during September as they were already in the process of getting ready to move to new premises towards the end of September. The soonest they could get to me was towards the end of the first week October. I was happy to proceed on that basis and placed an order for a new electric fence and gate motor. The end of September I was contacted and informed that Gido would not be able to accommodate me during the first week of October as the move had gone haywire due to circumstances beyond their control. A week later I got another call, another delay. This time industrial action. Long story short, the electric fence installation was eventually done the last week of October and the gate motor only Saturday. Fortunately for us, the installation was not a life or death situation. Owning my own business, I know full well how quickly things can spiral out of control. Will I recommend or use them again? In spite of the massive delay, absolutely! Have just mailed confirmation to replace a garage door motor. Not everyday you deal with a business that has been around for ± 25 years!

Aug 3, 2018. Absolutely fantastic! Was given an immediate telephonic estimate when the sales person called me followed up by an in-depth e-mail. Shopped around and couldn't get a better deal. The clincher was the 10% immediate settlement discount. The consultant came to see me and was very professional. Paid the settlement amount and the team arrived on the day specified. Installation done in one day. No hassles. Brilliant!

Worst servie ever, or rather no service at all, paidment made in full on the 17th October, promised to do the electric fence installation after 10 working days, then canceled due to load shedding, acceptable!, installation dte was then scheduled forthe 04th November, only to be once again cancelled due to them "not having completed the prvious job", promised in writing they would do installation on the 08th November and once again "Believe it or not" cancelled on the morning of the 08th. DISGUSTING SERVICE and now I want a full refund!!!!

DISGUSTING SERVICE and now I want a full refund!!!!
