Look. I have always known this ISP had bad support. Heck, no support even, but their redeeming factor has always been their network, and that is why I stayed a moderately content customer. However, the network has degraded to one of the worst fibre networks in RSA after their departure from Seacom. This ISP offers nothing at its price point. Other ISPs at this price have network redundance, they have larger support departments (or rather, they actually have support staff and not some bot who literally spams a generic message LITERALLY every minute for who knows how long without ever getting back or following up). Telephone line, unreachable. Accounts department, unreachable. Any human being at this company, unreachable. Also, they change their name every six months to try and reset their google reviews to baseline. I can also spot planted reviews from a mile away. All those 5 star reviews in quick succession made as the google account just landed by accounts who literally have only one review on them (namely this ISP, they must have been REALLY impressed, or, Ocam’s Razer, ****. Is that not suspicious? The creativity of the complaint reviews make it abundantly clear they are human and real, however all the 5 star reviews, looks like they are written by AI. Generic, emotionless, 0 creativity. These people are taking us for fools. They probably changed routing through more affordable providers hence the current network blackout, but what was an “unknown network error” became “scheduled” “upgrades” became “maintenance”. What was ignoring all tickets about unusable internet (I am talking 0.5mbps up and down on a 500/200 line) became “”upgrades” complete and network restored to optimum capacity” became additional “upgrades” from “1 to 4” the next day, became “we started fixing the issue at two…”, (firstly, what happened to 1pm? How nonchalant are you?) became 5pm for the fix, became 8pm, became 9pm (all mails sent with false hope). 9pm hits and??? Internet dead. Completely dead for the past 15 hours. No eta. No feedback from gigawave. No more emails containing lies. Just dead. Trying to contact them to cancel. Impossible. Lines are dead. I reiterate, this is one of the most competitive industries in the country. This company doesnt offer a resilient network, nor redundance, they do not offer any customer support whatsoever, yet their pricing doesnt reflect that. It also seems (personally) that there are some suspicious things happening behind the scenes here. All the name changes, the reviews, all of it, it just gives me the ick. Not trustworthy whatsoever. AVOID!!! If I could leave a 0 star review I would. This company is THE WORST possible ISP out there. There is absolutely NO service. We have long outages at least once a month. Last month it was down for about 10 days. Today we have had no connectivity and they are unreachable via phone or whatsapp.

Watch out for Gigawave. They are very sneaky! I tried to cancel my account at the end of June. They first blocked me from cancelling my account because my debit order has not gone through yet. We did an EFT but the block was only lifted in July, despite various emails and calls to them at the end of June. They have a one month notice period so the contract will now only end at the end of August.

The worst service ever experienced. Paying for 200/200mbps line, but receiving only 93/45mbps , since Jan 2024. I have cancelled once telephonically and 4 times via e mail since mid Feb 2024. Still nothing, everytime "sorry to hear, please let us know how we can improve"(They cannot). Speed tests (4 test to be run) being submitted due to low speed but no feedback on outcome. When you log a complaint, again you submit speedtest and still nothing gets done on their side. Please stay away and go to someone that is more reputable and maybe a very littlebit more expensive.

Gigawave is ********* & the customer support is unhelpful/non existing . They increased my contract amount without any notice with more than 200% and now I cannot cancel the agreement before paying the increased amounts. Disappointing and frustrating!!! I do not recommend their service in any way!

I would not reccomend them, they sell themselves as having an Area Manager and being a Premium ISP, however the service received has left little to be desired, I am yet to meet this Area Manager, they are expensive- at least R200 more than Kilo for same service, they are unprofessional- I was not up on the 1st Feb as promised. Angelo Klein, the Area Manager for Barbeque Downs leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. Never again, they are a small business.

Seriously a useless company. Do not waste your time on these people... They have so many empty promises, they say they are working on a fix but that's the only answer they can give you for every issue... Nothing gets resolved. We pay high prices for useless internet and useless service.
