My ex spouse submitted a pension claim on my behalf in September 2025. I was asked to submit the same documents repeatedly. I last submitted on 12 December 2025. I was told that the matter would be sorted out in 60 days. 12 January 2026 I was told "Please be advised that we have requested proof / confirmation of payment from Glacier. Once we have received a response from Glacier, we will advise you thereof." On 16 February 2026 Glacier rep**** through Elle Adams (CIC Agent RA: Glacier) in which they state "Please note that the case is currently with our claims department for final processing and this will take 10 - 15 working days to be finalized". It has been more than 15 days since they rep**** and they have not finalised the claim or even provided feedback on this claim. Utterly poor service to say the least

My mother has been a client of ABSA Investment Management Services for quite a few years. AIMS later either combined or were taken over by Glacier. Last year my mother was diagnosed with AML Leukemia and given a short period to live. Medical bills was stacking up and we made the decision to sell her unit trusts. The completed forms and documents was sent in early in January. Soon after I received a request for her portfolio number. (remember they do have ID nrs etc). So I responded on the 19th of January with the portfolio nr. Then again another email asking the same thing! Which I rep**** to on the 23rd of January. I also sent another separate email to Glacier telling them what the portfolio nr is and to get their act together. Guess what? Again on the 28th of January another email saying the withdrawal is archived until they receive the portfolio number!! This is very annoying that someone that desperately needs her funds and busy dying has to suffer because of the incompetence of Glacier staff. Stay far away for any future investments!

Good day, I am very disappointed, as our money is invested in a living annuity and we rely on our payment on the 25th of each month. Today there was no payment, and this has put us in a very difficult situation. My debit orders are going off later today, and now I will be charged penalty fees of R120 per debit order by my bank. This is completely unacceptable. We trust your company with our investment, and delays like this cause unnecessary stress and financial loss. Please urgently advise what happened and when the payment will be made. I expect this matter to be resolved immediately. Thank you.

I (Lerato Wana) recently made a claim from my ex husband's pension fund as per our divorce settlement. My broker from Sanlam Orivaal advised me to utilise Sanlam in making the claim from GEPF. I was advised to open a Glacier investment account - which I did. 18 month post my divorce and battling with GEPF and their processes, Sanlam now wants to tell me that GEPF deposited the money in the wrong account. My question to them was that its impossible because we are the ones that gave GEPF all the details for this deposit. Apparently, the money went into my retirement annuity account instead of the glacier. According to Sanlam, the retirement annuity and the glacier share the same bank account number. But they still need to request GEPF to retract the money and resend. That is going to take ages. My life has come to a standstill due to debt post divorce. I need that money. Sanlam cannot return it to GEPF, they must fix this and have this money in my account by Friday 21 November. They promised that once the money is in the glacier account it will take them 7 days to transfer it into my account. We're heading for the third week and the money is still sitting in the glacier account. Hello peter please assist!

I've been leaving msg after msg after email after phone call after phone call. No one gives calls back when they promise too and they also ignore me when i email for a request to get a call back. My claim is going slower due to one consultant saying one thing and another advising something else. I would love for communication to be consistent as promised.

I was quite frustrated at first because it felt like we were getting new requests every time our claim was being processed. However, I’m really grateful that Glacier eventually came through for us. A special thank you to Zastra and Lynette Anderson-Husselmann for your patience, professionalism, and dedication in resolving our case. Your help made all the difference — thank you!
